RIP President George H.W. Bush

He passed on this evening.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.

My dad grew up with him and has very fond memories of their college days. He will be missed, but he's with Barbara and Robin now.
He was 94 and lived an extraordinary life, rest in peace.

Create a life that feels good on the inside, not one that just looks good on the outside.....

When my son was 4 years old, back in '92, George HW & Barbara stopped by a nearby airport on a campaign stop (before he lost out to Clinton). My husband took our son to see him at the airport, and had our son on his shoulders. They were close enough to the front of the line so that Mrs. Bush noticed my son on my husband's shoulders. She stopped in front of them and said, "Oh George, look at that little boy's gorgeous red hair!" My husband still talks about it, my son doesn't really remember it. Nice memory for my husband, though.
My husband is a Federal employee, and found out his office will be closed on Wednesday for a day of mourning.

The public services were inspiring. Remembering the greatness of the USA, with appreciation and pride.
