How about those French Fries?

I see numerous mentions on the forum regarding the fries at the different fast food places we shop. So I thought this article below might be interesting and fun ...Agreements with the rankings? Disagreements?

BJ's has amazing fries, The Hook comes in 2nd, McD's always known for their fries. Five guys, pretty good.

Live consciously....
Who or what is The Hook? My favorite is Wurstkuche but they are not on the list as they only have a few locations.
I'm surprised that In-n-Out's fries scored low. They taste good, fresh, but they are thin.

I'm not surprised that JIB fries scored low. Their fries are hangover food.

I have friends in California who swore by In-and-Out. Then they visited me in NJ and I took them to Five Guys. It was years before Five Guys opened in their town in California. Now they go nowhere else. I have tried In-and-Out fries. I agree with the LA Times assessment.

I don't like 5 Guys fries, and not a fan of McDonald's or Arby's fries, either. BK's fries were better than all of them last time I had them. But, I tend not to eat fries much unless we make them from fresh potatoes at home. If I am eating a meal somewhere and it's not a shop, I like to skip the fries entirely unless they come with the meal. And I usually try to upgrade to something different if it's a sit-down restaurant (onion rings, baked piotato, steamed broccoli, etc.) whenever possible.
Wonder what the sampling method was -- Chik-fil-A and In-and-Out have the BEST fries. BK and Wendy's are the worst.

When I lived in LA, In-n-Out opened at 10:30. I got there early for lunch one day and the line (drive through) was around the corner. Their burgers are amazing.

Lines are still incredibly long at In and Out. I think people go for the burgers and the animal fries, not so much the regular fries.
I was impressed with the size of the fries at 5 Guys, not so much the taste. I prefer thicker fries...
When I did my FG shop on Wednesday at lunch, I put the fries in the lunchroom at work. They disappeared quick.

I recently visited The Habit for the first time. Extremely impressed with the quality of food I would rank it on par with 5 guys. If you have one in your area I highly recommend

Shopping Idaho and Oregon/Idaho border region.
I did a shop there (Habit) early this month. The mushroom burger on sourdough was really good. The salad was bland. I didn't get the fries since I was doing FG the next day.
