Meet My New Grandson!!

Well, I just got back on Friday around 5 pm, after my 3 hr drive back from NC. I went up on Monday, April 1st, to be with my son, DIL and 3 yr old granddaughter, as they welcomed the newest member of their family, Luka Jireh, born April 1st! I got there about 2 hrs after he was born, and spent the rest of the week at my son's place. I got to play a lot with my granddaugher, which we both tremendously enjoyed! And I got to hold my beautiful, precious grandson quite a bit, too! He's a honey of a baby boy! My granddaughter loves her baby brother (at least right now, haha!) So anyway, here he is......Luka Jireh! [imgur.com]

Yeah, it's interesting....Luka is the Russian form of Luke or Lucas, and Jireh is a portion of one of the Biblical names for God, Jehovah-Jireh, meaning, "The Lord provides".... they Lord met a particular need in their lives right at the time my DIL conceived, so they wanted to reflect that in their child's name. Whether the child had been a boy or girl, the middle name would be Jireh. And that's the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey used to say!
Love the name Luka!

Well, I wish we lived closer to them. And now that they have 2 young-uns, it'll be easier for us to drive up there, than it will be for them to drive down here....and we aren't any spring chickens!! But...it's worth the drive, as you know, Irene, to see family, right?
