The show just wrapped up recording for this season. Alex T. has just issued a positive statement about how he is feeling and that he is continuing his cancer therapy.

Yes! James is changing the way the game is played! I'm obsessed, can't wait until tomorrow. His knowledge and wagering skills are amazing to watch!! He is setting and then breaking his own one day records!! I'm sure the accountants are getting worried LOL!

As of today's (4/22/2019) show, he holds the record for the top 6 one-day totals. Ken Jennings averaged $35,000 per show, while James was averaging $75,00 per show before today (his $90,812 win today will increase that average). Ken Jennings was interviewed on ABC Evening News today and says that he would not have the courage to make the bets that James has been making. BTW, the overall average daily winning total is about $20,000. James would have likely had a higher total today, but his first pick today was the Daily Double, and he could only risk $1000. His 13 day total is now $942,738 versus

Soooo many questions!! How far can this guy go? Who could possibly beat him? And who could then beat the successor? Is there no limit? Wouldn't it be polite for him to just step down at some point? Do they have to pay other contestants more just to show up, since they have about zero chance of winning? Are potential contestants making up excuses to get bumped to the bottom of the list (uh, could you call back in 6 months, I'm having surgery/death in the family/going to jail)??
And that one lady last week didn't even try to hide how pissed she was to be there, playing against him.

My husband and I watch it. I don't think I can answer any or most of the questions. I'm only good a t medical and food.

James had his first close call on this evening's show!

Yes, both of the other contestants at least "dabbled" in using his technique of going for high value questions early and making sizable bets when possible. The technique is NOT new, but no one but James has been as aggressive with it AND had the depth and breadth of knowledge to get consistently high returns.

Maybe the the same people have to stay in the audience as long as a contestant keeps winning. Sequestered like a jury until a verdict is reached. They're probably still there!

I don't remember which day it was but one day this week James let other people actually answer questions. I was shocked! He must have gotten a talking-to from someone.

He's baaaaack! But it's getting a bit sad. Those poor other players. How far can he go? He holds all the records now to the point that very few humans could meet or beat them. What's left for the regular people? I think he's a robot. Eventually it will just get dull. "James is kicking trivia butt today." "Yeah. Seen it for the last two years. Let's watch something else."

He is still chasing: 1) the total amount of money and 2) the total number of wins, both held by Ken Jennings. He is very likely to achieve the most money within a week or so.

My family has watched Jeopardy since Day 1, LOL. My parents and now my family. James is incredible, amazing, wow. Much deserved and earned. We were amazed by Ken Jennings and now James. You go, Smarty Pants!

I watched the original version with Art Fleming. I doubt that I saw the first episode in 1964 since it was a daytime show and I was in Middle and then High School, but I watched whenever I could - I saw episodes many before I left for college in 1970. On the original Jeopardy! series, clue values in the first round ranged from $10 to $50. Today's values have more than kept up with inflation.
