I believe the new owners intend to keep the stores open.

Good, it would be awful to lose them as we did the other one, forgot name.

Bookstores are one of my favorite places besides libraries. I love the ease of being able to read a million different books on my device, but there's nothing like holding a book and feeling the pages. I also like the feel in a bookstore, especially the full service ones where you can have a coffee and flip through a magazine or read a few pages to see if you want to buy it. We don't have a huge bookstore here, but we have one of the best library systems I've ever seen and a bunch of mom and pop type bookstores, both used and new.

Reading on devices is for work and necessity. Reading actual books, and knowing their construction, and delving into their histories, and seeing them out in the open is indescribably wonderful. I see a bit of spine or book cover, and I remember what is there. I see a device and hope that I remembeted to charge it. Long live real books! (Huzzah!)

What will happen to the university book stores? They are all Barnes and Noble.

I found a list of 773 campus stores that Barnes & Noble operates. Hmm. Good question!

I still see the Barnes and Noble shops on the board. However, I wouldn't care if they went away, the compensation isn't worth it
