Checking in....

Hi all!
I supposed I kind of vanished for a while... I've found myself preoccupied with quite a few things other than mystery shopping the last few months and simply have not had much time to pop in here. I likely won't be as ubiquitous as I had been before, but I'll try keep showing up here some. smiling smiley

Over the last four months, I've done one shop... Instead, I've been spending time with my granddaughter and getting back into hiking again. Plus, school has started up again and grading papers, well, takes time.

My granddaughter is almost a year old and she still comes to our house three times a week while her parents work. She's got a vocabulary of about five words and pulls herself up to cruise around the living room using furniture, toys, people as supports. I try to race home from work at least twice a week to spend some time with her.

I used to hike a ton, but was in a major car accident five years ago that sent me to back surgery. This summer was the first time I was able to wear a proper pack since then, so I've been on many of the incredible mountain trails that Washington has to offer.. This month, I've taken up snowshoeing, so I'll likely stay on the trails through the winter. Of course, in order to be able to go out on long weekend hike, I need to keep exercising throughout the week, which eats up the rest of my shopping time.

I've got a small handful of shops scheduled this month, but am still deciding if I'll pick up more.... I really like having the extra time to do things that are more fun... But I kind of miss the extra bit of income.... I hope all of you are doing well!

Live consciously....
Today: I'm in a Starbucks while doing a video valet parking shop, so I figured I'd pass some of the time here... Tomorrow: Snowshoeing in the Paradise area at Mt. Rainier!

Heyyyyy. So glad you stopped by. Enjoy your grand-daughter - they are only that age once!

MFJohnston back in our younger days my husband and I hiked up to Tuckermans Ravine in August, most people back packed ski's, we back packed wine and cheese. We were skiers, but not on Mt. Washington.
Me I'm waiting on great grandkids but considering the two grandaughters that might be a while, but no pressure.
