Best Movies I've Seen Lately

I saw a really enjoyable movie last month - Knives Out. It's a murder mystery with Jamie Lee Curtis and Daniel Craig. It was fast-moving with lots of action and several major plot twists.

Has anyone else seen any movies they really liked?

I saw a movie on Amazon Prime Video. It was a great movie, but I can't remember the name.

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
Call of the Wild.
Movie was made PG as opposed to violent original book. The only complaints I have heard are about the dogs being computer generated. that didn't bother me and i enjoyed the movie. The casting crew did a great job with minorities and women who would not have been in the Yukon circa 1890.

I looooved Knives Out! Fantasy Island was also really good. I have Regal Unlimited so I can see as many movies as I want a month, and I am taking advantage of it. I'm hoping to see The Boy 2 this week.

The Wizard of Lies

The Inventor - Out for Blood in Silicon Valley
These are on HBO On Demand, but also on DVD and some other places. Love to all, Night Owl at 11:08 PM
Saturday night at home. Paid for "Parasite.". Don't know what the hype was all about. I kept getting up. I guess more about survival, life and choices. My family loved it. My DD's say I must watch it again.
Doctor Sleep.

WB did a terrible injustice for the marketing for the movie.

I don't see many movies, they are all icky, but watched, Hidden Figures. on an overseas flight recently. Great movie! Especially for me as my Dad was an aerospace engineer who worked on the Apollo andSkylab missions and the International Space Station. His favorite tag line is, "I put a man on the moon with a slide rule." This article reminded me. R.I.P Mrs Johnson.

Edited to add: Also lived in the South during the early 70's so even more amazing were the racial boundaries she, and the other women, had to cross.

I am watching the McMillions series on HBO now. Started out kinda slow but it is getting real interesting. Had no idea that mobsters had infiltrated the monopoly game. Also watched True Grit over the weekend. The remake from 2010. Loved that movie. The Joker was interesting but violent and disturbing. Rocketman if you are an Elton John fan.

I highly suggest watching Parasite again, theres a reason it won Best Picture, I loved it.

However, I feel that if you watch a movie after hearing too many opinions first you'll always be dissappointed in some sort or think it was overhyped.
