California, we are closed

Finally I got out of the house yesterday for the first time in a week. I had a common cold, the runny nose variety, and did not dare go out with the sneezing. So finally snuck out to the little local casino, which was empty, to game a little and get my mind off the craziness. They closed down the whole place along with all the restaurants and have recommended that anyone over 65 just stay home even if you are healthy. Looks like I will be cleaning a lot of closets and binge-watching Netflix for the next few weeks.

Iowa finally cancelled school for four weeks. Our school board waited until last night. We had our youngest (4) home for nearly two weeks trying to shake off RSV and was debating keeping his nine and eleven year old brothers home whether school was cancelled or not. None of us are over 65 here, but C19 could be fatal to our youngest.
I just canceled all my bar alcohol compliance shops. CA shut down all bars.

I have an alcohol compliance dining shop at BJ's today. I'm not even sure if they'll be open.
My kids were out of school last week and have another four weeks off. I had scheduled sporadically last week so I could check in on them every so often (teenagers). Now more and more businesses are shuttering.
Colorado's right behind you guys. Tomorrow night, Denver and the surrounding cities are shutting down all restaurant dine-in's to only take-out for the next 8 weeks. Plus, no crowds of over 50 people and the schools are all shut down for at least 2 weeks.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 30 year old male and willing to travel! Badged for Denver International Airport.
I cancelled my BJ's dinner, never know who's in the kitchen sneezing....not working, staying close to home and actually cleaned out my shoes, they are now in order according to color.
The stock market is troubling, may look to see what to buy since everything is so low. My ex always said, buy low, sell high, guess it's time to listen to him.

Be careful. Sometimes a “deal” will turn out to be “buy low, lose low due to the company filing for bankruptcy.”

Never try to catch a falling knife. There is nothing out there but uncertainty on every front.
I had my first day of census training today. It was a small group, so each person had their own six-foot folding table with an empty table between.

When real census work starts I will evaluate each day what activities I will or will not do.

I just got hired by the census. That will have to either wait or not happen for me.

After two full days of census training they pulled the plug. They will reevaluate the situation on April 1st.

I've put a few grand more into the market gradually over the past few days, and haven't touched my main stock investments. Don't invest more in stocks then you can afford to lose. I'm already down 50% in some of the stocks I thought were good deals (cruise/airlines), so we'll see what happens.
NY is closed except for all essential businesses. Luckily restaurants for takeout or delivery are included. I completed my census after getting a mailing last week. Took 5 minutes online.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
