I do merchandising at a regional chain of grocery stores in my area and I am on a first name basis with all of the department managers that I have been working in and the store directors. I was working on merchandising projects in all of those stores up until a week ago Thursday, and believe, me this was a regular topic of discussion while I was in each of those stores (7 hours a day, 4 days a week) for the past month. About half of them are freaking out, as some have elderly parents who have other health problems and two of them have children who have underlying health conditions where COVID could possibly kill them. Their jobs are considered essential and they can't stay home. They just don't have the option of taking leave of absence, and it's been really tough on them. One manager has a mom in a nursing home who he can't go visit and she has dementia, so when he talks to her on the phone she is in tears, not understanding why he won't come visit.
Your lack of fear is your lack of fear, but don't assume that all people working in grocery stores are NOT full of panic and fear (just because you know 2 people who work in stores that aren't worried). Many are VERY worried. I know at least 10 of them well, as I have been servicing their stores for over 7 years now.
