Video recording in Virginia??

I was wondering if anyone knew the laws in Virginia if somebody comes to my house and records me on their phone without my permission?

Virginia is a one-party consent state. If I understand correctly: You may ask them to leave your home, but if they are welcomed in, they may legally record. If you know they are recording, you can demand that they leave or you can come to an agreement that they leave if they don't stop recording.

Thanks for replying. It was outside in my yard without my permission. I did ask them to leave and threatened to have them arrested if they returned. It was my son's girlfriend. She is just a trouble maker.
There are different rules for video recording than there are for audio recording. Video rules are much less stringent. For example, Google doesn't need permission to take pics of houses as they drive by. If your son's girlfriend was stalking him and/or trespassing on your property, you might (probably) have a case. But standing across the street and taking video with her phone, maybe not. Document the incidents in case there is any question later.
