What kind of face covering(s) do you have and use?

I have 2 homemade cloth masks my sister-in-law made, 1 mask from Mack Weldon, and 5 masks from Lorenzo Uomo on the way.

I ordered the Lorenzo Uomo masks and got them yesterday. I'm wearing one today. They come in packs of 5 and are all blue or blue patterns. They look fine with a dress shirt or jeans and a tee shirt. Only $18 for a pack of 5 with $3 shipping. I ordered two packs and will give a couple of masks to each of my brothers. I'm very happy with them. [www.lorenzouomo.com]

I like them, they're very comfortable, but they are thinner than I would like. The opposite of my Mack Weldon mask which is thicker than I would like

For areas where a mask is required (rather than suggested), I have one that is open weave cotton. The TYPE of mask is rarely specified. No breathing problems with it. It's the distancing that prevents virus transmission, not the security theater masks.
As much as I like the comfortable masks I have been sewing, last week I discovered they are not great for extended conversations. I teach a class in the local jail (just resumed last week) and I spent the whole time fighting with the mask wiggling down and generally being a nuisance. I'm going to play around with different ways to attach it, but I might have to look for a different pattern for that use. For regular walking around shopping, I like the ones I've been making.

By the way, this facility has impressively avoided any infections. All new intakes are quarantined for 14 days. The one case they found never made.it past isolation.

One more thing... what is the mask retirement where you live? I am in the midwest. Most stores "request" masks, but many (most?) customers and often staff do not wear one. The nearby state capital is requiring them everywhere in that county starting next week.

My only required locations are a dinner theater venue, my jail class, and school when it starts next month (I work part time there).
This is a phenomenal series: [www.pbs.org]. Have you seen it?

"Required" here at public spaces where you can't maintain a 6' distance. I was at the airport earlier this week and about 75% of people were wearing masks. Closer to 50% at my grocer, employees only at the two sit-down restaurants we've been to in the last two weeks, next to 0% at the local parks.

I've purchased several from Snaptotes. They have pockets for filters, in which they also sell cheap. The filters are HEPA filters and you can get a pack of 12 for 5.00 at least the last time I bought them. I like they have 3 different sizes, youth, Adult, and Adult XL. I have a small face and can only wear the youth sized ones. I wash mine after each use in the washing machine and they have held up fine.

This is simply untrue, although distancing is obviously preferable, masks absolutely lower transmission.

We have the disposables and detest them as we can't breathe. We wear the hand made ones made out if cotton or bandannas. I have one that says 'Smarter- Better- Faster' that was rigged up from an Optimum T-shirt. Got so many compliments and comments while wearing it. For the 4th of July, we wore flag inspired bandannas. DH said we looked like patriotic bank robbers. DD's also have black neoprene ones that they like.

I use the disposables, hate them, and know that no mask will be okay. I just hate something that sits on my skin longer than I want it there. If I don't like my makeup, I wash it off! But I can't take off the mask. Pfffffffffffft.

nm except for people to do their own research and look at statistics rather than hype.

One good source is [infection2020]. Click on your state, then your county, then deaths and log. You'll see what the trend is for the year or for the last two weeks. One size does not fit all.

I ordered several cloth masks from Etsy. I rotate them and keep 2 at work, car and purse. I hand wash them in Dawn after a single use. This has worked well for me.
