Finding company (s) who provide Wachovia and other bank shops

Hi,

If anyone can tell me who currently has the contract for Wachovia shops and or other bak shops, I would love to hear from you as I have done many Wachovia shops in the past, but my providing company lost the contract with this client.

Thanks

Hi Nick.

If I knew I could not tell you because of the Independent Contractor Agreements we all sign that promise confidentiality. On the other hand I can share with you that I have been looking high and low for Wachovia this year, asking friends etc. to no avail. Nobody has seen them this year. They seem to change companies every year and the currently aren't hiding with their 2006 or 2007 MSP.

::Breaking into song:: Oh where, oh where has Wachovia gone? Oh where, oh where can it be? . . .
I'm registered with over 150 companies. I may have the answer: Maybe Wachovia wasn't shopped this year! [Taking a bow. Thank you, thank you. Oh, your applause are just so heartening.]

You asked friends to break their ICA? Friends don't let friends break ICA's.

I do have other bank MSP's, without client names. Where do you live?
In general we can list companies that do "banks" without issue, especially since Wachovia is the only bank client mentioned here and I think Sneakers is right that they just aren't being shopped this year. They may have gone the same route as Sun Trust that would appear to be being shopped by employees of the training company that services them. So folks can add to the bank shopping MSP list as I'm sure I've missed a bunch:
Bare
Informa
David Sparks
aTh (Apex)
PROShopper
Mintel
Datatron
Secret Shopper
Intellishop
SGMarketing (nice people!)
Second-to-None
Kinesis CM (usually through Kern Scheduling)

Some of these we listed do local banks; not all are national.
I suspect that many more MSPs have banks, but if a particular bank doesn't exist in your neck of the woods it does you no good. We have lots of little local banks around me that may have 1-5 branches and only rarely do I trip over one of them being shopped. Then we have the "big" banks--or at least some of them--that are more routinely shopped.
www.athpoweronline.com does banks in my area. I am not sure if they do national ones.
I dont know who shops them...but keeep in mind Wells Fargo now owns Wachovia if that helps.
I understand that Wachovia has been taken over by Wells Fargo...

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
Yes. Originally Wachovia was 'handed over' to Citi by the Fed for a very small purchase. Wells Fargo came in and made an offer to Wachovia for about twice as much. Citi cried 'foul' because their buddies at the Fed had already given them the prize and was going to take it through the courts. Evidently Citi's need to return to the Fed for more $$$ to stay afloat squashed the notion they were the best buyer for Wachovia and thus it is now a Wells Fargo company.

The error in ways of all this was the Fed's who has just been making the 'too big to fail' outfits even bigger. Rather it is time to break them up so that those that are poorly managed can fail without taking down the whole banking system.

I do know who has Wachovia shops. If anyone wants to contact the MSP you can PM me. I'm not taking them because they want you to open an account and I don't need another checking account.
