Technology Store Shopper

Has anybody shopped for them?

Looking for pay problem/success; any problems. the usual........

Ok I followed the "BLUE" dialog box after I wrote this question and since September 2009, various posters have been asking the same question. :-(

Apparently TSS needs come on board and answer.

They have two shops I want to do but I don't have time for MSCs to be having money issues. B/c their money issues are my money issues.

I've done 3 shops for them in the last 6 months or so and all have been paid quickly. They even paid me partially for a shop I was not able to do because the location was not yet opened. They don't have much in my area. I did receive an email a couple of days ago about another cell phone shop but the only location was St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. While I wouldn't mind visiting the area I don't think a $10-15 mystery shop would do the trick even though I am in Florida
I completed 2 shops for this MSC last year and was paid in an average of 17 days. Both were cell jobs and the pay was acceptable for the involved work.
I did a few for them in 2010 and all were paid in under 30 days so I have no beef with payment. I did have a problem with one location because the employee was just too good and remembered me months later when I went in on a subsequent shop. The shop got 'amended' on the fly to stay credible while letting the employee discuss the topics he was supposed to cover and it was honored by the MSP. I just haven't seen shops posted in my area in 2011.
I remember posting here after my 1st shop with this company and one of my first overall shops. The employee that I was speaking to was called to the back and fired while I was standing at the counter. A loud argument ensued and the now ex employee told the boss in very "colorful" terms what she thought of him and the company. I was able to complete the shop after leaving the store and returning after things had calmed down.
I did several shops last year for them. They pay on time and do answer emails. However, they only have a few shops in my area. Quite naturally, you cannot do the same shops all the time.
I have done shops for them last year and this year.

They are easy to work with and pay relatively quickly.

I think I have done 5-10 shops for them and never had a problem with any aspect of working with them.
I'm waiting to see if something with them gets resolved this morning. I accepted a last minute shop in very busy mall. The shop has a bonus and it wasn't that hard to fit it into my route. Briefly, it is a visit to a store who is launching a new product. What I didn't know at the time, it is some type of "pop up" store which is also opening today so there is no information on where it is located in the mall. They also make it clear that there may be long lines to get into the store and I am required to wait 30 minutes. So far nothing out of the ordinary and nothing I cannot handle. Then I get to the part about the reduced fee which is $5. Not $5 for a closed location, $5 after walking around to find the store and then waiting in line for 30 minutes. WTH?

Is it a new "Apple" store? or sounds it like one of those DELL kiosk stores that shows up around the holiday season. You know one of those "spin-off" stores that the big blue book is partnered with. Let us know if you find the shop. smiling smiley
