I 'fired' Trendsource

It's not a fact. It's a claim that in and of itself is bereft of facts.

""What is truth? "

Truth is a fact.

Fact is a perceived belief.

e.g. The earth is flat.
As someone who spent 10 days locked in a mental health Ward... you realize it's not what the eye sees but what the brain perceives as what rules us (I was suicidal)...

I see facts as wholly scientific method and mathematics... the rest is based on our perspective ingrained by nature and nurture... doesn't mean they are not true... just means they are not facts...

shopping north west PA and south west ny
I only did one BV for Trendsource and I don't know if I'll do another. The contact name for the assignment was defensive, huffy and at times rude. It certainly wasn't worth $17 to deal with her!
I did them before they decided to 'certify' their shoppers. Certainly a lot of getting the appointment was being firm. I generally gave the business owner 3 day/times that would be 'best' for me and asked which one would work best for them. When they balked, I would mention that I only had until _____ to get it done or I would have to return the visit to the company and that although I did not know, I suspected they would need to restart the process. Since these guys shell out $50 or more for the visit, the $$$ signs in their heads generally had them suggest a time within my time frame that worked for me--often one I had just suggested with an adjustment of an hour or two. I never mentioned any of this as any kind of threat, just as what my requirements were.

In all the time I did them I had only one not show up at all or answer his cell when I called the contact number to remind him of the appointment. I had several who weren't there because of some 'urgent' business and who wanted me to talk to someone else who was their 'know nothing' goat. I simply indicated my instructions didn't let me talk to anyone other than the designated person or the contact person on my list so, ::sigh:: I guessed I would have to turn in my report as that they were 'unavailable' at the appointment. Very quickly the goat would get on the phone and the business owner would magically appear within 10-15 minutes.

My 'no show' I got paid for. Several where I was never able to talk to anything but an answering machine were cancelled by the client and I got paid $4.

I would be delighted to continue doing these shops as a 'man on the street' but not as any kind of 'certified evaluator'. The 'certified evaluator' implies a level of training and expertise (and therefore liability) in these matters that is not being paid for.
After receiving a notice for an available business verification I decided to get the information regarding a client's refusal straight from the horse's mouth. The answer was emphatic that the shopper will not be penalized in any way and will still be paid a modest fee for the phone call. The e-mail is going in my file for future referencewinking smiley

LisaSTL good luck on that one. Not true. Been there done that. Believe it or not it is your time and effort. They can quote you anything. Get it to happen is another thing.
At least I have it in writing. Every month there are a lot of those very near to me. As much as I hate paying for a background check it would pay off quickly, if and when I'm allowed to self-assign. So it won't be done before that. The upside is I'm terribly persuasive and the few completed prior to the changes were all hassle-free.
