Fed up with Intellishop and have question about deactivating my account

I have finally reached the boiling point with Intellishop and want to deactivate my account with them. I did a shop for them recently, so I'm waiting on payment.

If I deactivate now, will that in any way affect the payment I'm waiting on?

I am so mad at them I could scream!

Thanks, Irene. That's what I was thinking.

I am so ticked at them right now. I'll explain more later after I've cooled down a little smiling smiley
By all means get your money first. Don't give them any excuse not to pay you.

I am fed up with them sneaking in the "Pull the baskets from the filters Shops." I now avoid all Intellishops for fear they will either make me go through the famous Drive thru and then sit down and eat again!

I have taken a good hard look and alot of their shops do indeed (fill in the blank)______"
I posted elsewhere that I had an issue with Intellishops. It concerned the pulling of the baskets. As ridiculous as it felt to do such a silly thing, I started pulling baskets until an employee came over to me and asked me what the hell I was doing, I indicated this on my report and they wouldn't pay me because I didn't follow the directions. I did follow the directions but was "caught" so I stopped. I was concerned that I would be suspected of being a shopper. The scheduler was not pleasant so I told her I was chalking this one up to experience. In other words, Adios!
Ok, I've read this thread and don't get it. It sounds like an inside joke that only some of us understand.
As part of the shop, you inspect the coffee pots by pulling baskets and making sure there are no wet filters with old grounds just sitting there. Not easy to do while remaining anonymous.
I've never done their empty baskets jobs, they are always too far out of my area. I don't know how much they pay, but unlikely enough to do from the sounds of it. Does anyone ever find wet filters with old grounds I wonder? I'm pretty sure the typical coffee drinker in those places don't go pulling baskets for any reason.

I've done a lot of work for Intellishop and have not had any problems. I have a big one coming up later this week that I'm praying goes well.
that was what I asked the scheduler. She told me people did that all the time. I cannot imagine. For me, the pay was not near enough to get me to do something like that...but it was more the attitude (and the lack of flexibility). I did what I had to do so as not to be revealed. And I had seen one filter before the associate came over and challenged me. so....off intellishop is off my list. and I am movin' on.
And they have you on video tape to go back and check to see if you actually DID pull the basket.
probably.....so I figure this is one where failure is probable. Even though I am relatively new to MSing, I have figured out this much: There are enough good MSCs out there that I don't have to subject myself to insulting work. I can just move on, which is what I did. Thank heaven I was passing the site anyway, I needed coffee anyway, and I didn't spend all that much time in there. (And the other shop I did for this MSC, while not as ridiculous, was also very low paying. Why bother!)
I can't recall what the pay was, maybe $10? In my situation, the coffee pots were located about 10 feet from the registers, directly in front of the cashiers!

I've done several shops for Intellishop and I have yet to receive a 10 rating. It's always 8 and 9, and they give some trivial reason for deducting points. My theory is that they give lowers scores so that we jump at the chance to earn a "hero citation."

As soon as I get paid from them, I'm gone. Life's too short to play games with this msc.
I only did one shop for them and I decided it did more for me psychologically to just get out,
I just looked, 4 10s and a 9. Not that it matters, as long as I get paid then score me -241 for all I care :-)
My scores are split between 9s and 10s.

The reason given for one of my 9s was because of needing to provide follow-up information. Now this wasn't one where they contacted me for follow-up, but rather a 3 day follow-up to see if the salesperson had contacted me since the shop.
I have been reading several of the reviews from all of you out there regarding the IntelliShop mystery shopping company. I have completed 98 shops with them, and have an average rating of 10. I have read many of the same aggravations that some of you have documented, such as the recent lower grades that have been given for the same quality of reports. I have come to the conclusion that many of the proofreaders feel that they HAVE to give a lower than perfect score, even if the quality of the report is in fact perfect. This only serves to justify the reason for their employment so that their bosses can justify their existence.

I completed a shop at a car dealership for IntelliShop in July, and have still not been paid for it. I "boiled over" in anger when dealing with the Field Staff Coordinator, who said that I "falsified" my report, because the dealership was not offering a $2,500 gas card if I purchased the Car today. This gas card was NOT my idea, but was something that the dealership sales representative offered me as an incentive. So naturally, since ALL dealership salespeople tell the whole truth when attempting to make a sale, I was accused of lying on my report. I told him to check my record and tell me if that is the record of a shopper who falsifies reports. I was given a 1 on the report, and was told that they couldn't use my report and couldn't (wouldn't) pay me for it. My guess is that they took that part off my report, and submitted the report so that they could get paid and would not have to pay me.

I have had it with this company, and will not perform any more reports for them. I suggest that you really watch your shops and reports, because this is obviously not an honest and legitimate company. I am just sorry that it took so long for me to find this out, as I have invested five years working for them!

Shopper beware,

PennyRobert
I have had all 9 and 10 ratings from them. I have done a couple of high end shops for them I thought worth while that paid decent with a nice reimbursement.

A lot of their shops are small and would not make sense for me unless I did a route as I see some of you do.

I have found them easy to work with.

And this is when I would have offered to let them review a copy of the recorded shop.
Your payment will be submitted wither 30 days after your finalization via PayPal, or 60 days after finalization via paper check.
Hi treetracker,

The only problem is that this was not a recorded shop. It was a car dealership shop where I had to interact with a sales representative about purchasing a new car. The "recorded" idea would have been great, but there was no recording so it is a case of "my word" vs. "the salespersons word." I gain absolutely nothing by falsely reporting something on my report, but the really aggravating thing is that the assumption was made that I was the one who falsified my report when I didn't. Not one person contacted me to question this. It was not until I questioned why I had not been paid since July that this all came out. So this is a case of either bad management or dishonest business practices.

I thought first before commenting so it is not sour grapes.
I did a shop for Intellishop that required me to drive 140 miles and plant some flowers in a cemetary. I did the shop and took pictures. The editor did not like the way that I planted the pictures and she wanted me to drive back the140 miles and replant the flowers. I told her to forget it and she did not get me paid and then I was deactivated because I would not do this twice for $40. They are a worthless company as they would not even listen to my side of the story. Imagine, deactivated because you were unhappy at not being paid in this circumstance. However there is a bright side. I entered Yale University to take courses on proper methods of digging a hole. It is a highly regarded Doctoral thesis. NOW, I know how to dig a hole and my new rate is $125 per hour for this highly educated hole digger. Thank you Intellishop.
Why not take the less confrontational route and just not accept shops from those who've offended you. Who knows, maybe one day you'll forgive and forget.

Sorry you had a bad experience, PennyRobert. I just won't do Intelli's auto dealership new car shops, no matter how much they are bonused. Too much time, way too intense survey for the money paid (even bonused) and every.single.time, I have run into the exact same kind of garbage you refer to.

I didn't get a 1, but I have gotten my share of multiple questioning/re-questioning and it's not worth it.

I recently bought a vehicle from a dealership Intelli shops. I had a horrible, horrible experience that I only figured out on the back end.

I never had much of a negative opinion about new car salesmen or dealerships (despite oft-heard jokes) in the 25 years I've been out in the car buying world on my own-until I shopped for Intelli and then bought this damn vehicle.
This company has won the A--hole of the year award every year with their combination of lies, non payment and general shmuckery.
Now that I have posted several negative comments about this "A-hole of the year" award recipient, I have been removed from their e-mail notifications of shops and deactivated from their files with no notice of the removal and deactivation. No surprise here, though. I guess the truth hurt their feelings too much.
Sounds like Intellishop is an MSC to avoid like the proverbial plague. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks for the heads-up.

I've learned to pick and choose from Intellishop. Lately, the pickings have been slim. I jump at the chance when a certain audit comes up from them. That may be ended as there has been a merger on the customer end. Won't do any purchase and return, fees are too low. They have some interesting healthcare ones in my area. I checked my log for 2011. Very little work for Intellishop. I've noticed what you all have. Slow edits and payment, picky, picky editors, forms from you know where. Too bad, they used to be my favorite company.

PennyRobert, I record all my shops, one party state here.
