Confero

Confero has many jobs in my area, but it's been a couple years since I've worked for them, any feedback...thanks.

Fair, competitive pay. Timely payment, never have to chase it. Precise timings and multiple observations, with a reasonable amount of narrative, as with other MSPs, are required. A change in editors has been welcome in my neck of the woodssmiling smiley Truly was a sticking point.
Double-thanks, just signed up and tried to apply for a prize reveal for a location right by my doc's appointment this week :-) I can't apply because it requires a 7 shopper score but emailed the scheduler with my mystery shopping CV so hopefully she gives me a shot.
All I have ever done for them, I think, is quick oil changes. Every 3 months for 6 years the shops were simple and the reimbursement fair and paid on time.

Based in MD, near DC

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.

They are very reasonable, raisitup, hopefully you'll get the job. Not much here, but I've worked with them over 3 years and like them.
I've always liked Confero shops. The schedulers are easy to get in touch with, and payment is on time/as described.
The only way to score a 10 on their college dining shops is to evaluate the restroom, even though it is not a requirement per the instructions. Trust me on this one. =)
How long does it take them to frigging assign the jobs....one will be due Tuesday, and I applied a week ago, it's still pending.

Yeah that is frustrating. My approach to this is to wait a couple of days and then take something else if it is offered and then write the scheduler to indicate that you had a better offer or whatever. I have not had a problem with this. As you know Irene most schedulers will not get down on you in this situation and will continue offering shops.
If I'm hitting a personal deadline and haven't been assigned a shop with a further-out deadline I have no reservations about emailing the scheduler. I'm on my last days of shopping for a few months and have a few scheduled for tomorrow in a tight area. I'm waiting on another shop with a Wednesday deadline and this particular scheduler likes to wait to the last minute. I emailed this morning to politely push him off the fence. It usually works. :-)
I did my first shop with them today and got a 9 rating. I was very pleased with how quickly the scheduler confirmed I got the shop and also how quickly someone edited my report!! I hope the payment is no probem as well. If so... I plan to do many shops with them. The shop was so easy and the pay was great!!
Dumb question but I noticed they had tests and clicked a link. Next thing I know I'm in the middle of an exam not knowing what it is for. Where is the material to look at prior to taking he exams? Did I miss something?

I am about to do my first shop for them. Thanks for the "heads up" about the head, Mantis.

I notice they are being scheduled by summit scheduling. I had a run in with one of their schedulers recently. But, everything has been going smoothly with the others.

This can be a little confusing since you will need to proceed to take the test to access the materials.

Go ahead and click "Take Test", and the material you will need is on the top of the test page in a yellow box titled "Project Guidelines".

It should be a piece of cake from there! Open book tests are my favorite.

I've done several shops with them in the past couple of years. For a while, they had a nice mixture of restaurants and grocery stores. I even did a reveal at an amusement park last year with them. They pay is pretty good time wise and I've never had an issue with the narratives with them.
To me, with them, it seems like a job only comes on the board when it is due or the day before. I apply but usually the job is due in the next 2 days and no one ever gets back to me.

I haven't had the chance to work with them yet. They don't have much in my area, but when they do, I apply...but never get a go ahead. `:'(
It was a little more than a year sinee I completed a Confero shop, and I can say that, after answering 81 questions plus narratives, it will be a long time before I commit to one again. The reimbursement and small bonus were just not worth it. That also takes into consideration the amount of time printing and reading the guidelines/questionnaire, uploading the receipt and double-checking my answers for accuracy and spelling. I know their editors are uber-picky, so I wanted to get the elusive '10', but not at the cost of spending an entire afternoon on one job. Lesson learned.
Did they stop doing "Ball Head" I see them on another site! Only way I could think to say that! lol

Ummm - not sure what you meant by that. I usually just do the oil changes. And in your context it gives a whole new meaning to the lube jobs! Lol smiling smiley

You have me blushing!

Can't stand this company r their grocery client. Grossest store ever. Then when you go into detial about what gross things you encountered in your report, you get dinged for being too detailed as "the client may be able to identify you as a shopper." Well, excuse me, I would have thought the client would want to know that they have bugs in their bulk food dispensers and the cashiers are just too apathetic to offer an apology after seeing a bug in the bag for themselves.

Long story short, I got some grains and didn't think to check them out before i got to the register, I get there and the cashier says, "There's a fly in here, are you sure you want this?" Seriously? Are you really thinking I'm going to buy that crap all willy nilly and take Mr. Fly home with me? So, I said no. He turns around and shows it to another cashier and then there's silence and more scanning. No apology, no offer to get a manager, nothing. Customer service and cleanliness at it's finest. Yuck, yuck and more yuck. Never again. KMA Confero and Grossy store.
