Grassroots

Does anyone know their rotation requirements. I have not been able to self assign shops for months.

Excuse my ignorance, but you talk about grassroots, is that a shopping company or what? If so what is the webpage?
I do not mean to appear stupid but was brought up to ask.
@Audrialyn - I love Grassroots! Very nice schedulers, the reports are easy to do, and they send you the gift cards right on time!

For me, I go to the same restaurant, two different cities. The scheduler called me in October and I did a dinner shop for them in my hometown. Then the day before Thanksgiving, they had a shop for the "afternoon seating"in the same restaurant but a city 2 hours from my hometown. I took this because it was where I was going to be for T-day.

When I got home on 11/25, I looked back on their board and noticed that there weren't any of these same restaurants available. I just emailed the schedulers and inquired about them. I said something along the lines of, "Hi there, I did not see any of "NameOfRestaurant" available down here for December. I just wanted to let you know that I am available if you need someone to shop for you here. Thanks for your consideration!"

I received a phone call on Monday morning asking me to do the restaurant again. However, I have to go at a different TIME. The scheduler DID mention that I could not shop the same time, because I was too close to my October shop date, but he could assign me some other block of hours to visit. I jumped at it, I LOVE this restaurant, and now I have a place to take my parents for dinner the week they are out here!

It sounds like the "time blocks" may be on a 60+ rotation. Hopefully in January if they still have this client, I can get the Dinner (after 5:30PM) shop since it will be 90 days! Pays/Reimbursed a little bit more than the afternoon shop. These are Gift Cards/Gifts for next year at Christmas! (and the food is pretty dang good too!)

After that short story of mine - I'd simply advise to email the schedulers and let them know you are willing and available!

Grassroots (Mysteryguest) sometimes sends me job offers by email that I do not see on their website when I log in. I called and asked about that. They told me that they will sometimes send out requests to certain individuals to apply for a particular job...I am not sure how you become the one they send them to. I do not always get them. In any case after they have finished accepting shoppers for the jobs that way, they will then advertise the jobs they still need filled on the website. I do not think they fill all jobs through emails but there is a delay of a few days after the emails are sent until they are up on the website.
