has anyone heard from research services group this month?

i've been working with them regularly for the last 8 months. typically, they immediately offer 1000's of assignments at the beginning of each month. however, it's the 2nd of the month already, and nothing is even availabe within my state. maybe they are just running later than usual? they are usually the first company that i schedule assignments with every month. yet they've sent me no emails for january shops, and i see absolutely nothing listed on their job board. i doubt that they lost multiple clients all at once. they're usually ahead of schedule.

That is worrisome. Lisa and RSG are great.

i hope that they're just running behind schedule due to the holidays. but it's hard to believe.
Let's keep our fingers crossed. Definitely the type of company we want sticking around for long timewinking smiley

it's now january 3rd, and still absolutely no shops listed on RSG's job board. normally, there are 100-200 in illinois by this time.

I'm also hoping it's just because of the holiday schedule.

A lot of places took the 26th and the 2nd off for Christmas and New Year's Day, so maybe, just MAYBE it's simply a matter of "everyone is back to work on the 3rd and jobs will start appearing"!

RSG is just one I'm waiting for, many of the MSC's I shop for have little to no jobs listed. Highly unusual, but then maybe I need to move to a state where there are lots of jobs!

i've usually got my first week of shops scheduled by the 1st of each month, but this is my first january. i just started shopping last march for the first time.

probably the staff does all of the local jobs themselves. :p
I haven't heard a thing, think it due to holiday, I hope they are good to go,
so happy when I found them 6 months ago. Someone mentioned one MSC is losing their primary bank, hope it's not them. I'm keeping a positive outlook, other MSC's have no jobs yet.

i heard that too. RSG has other clients too though, and none of them are listed yet either.
Blue bank was closed yesterday.

However, one of the other MSC's offering the same shop is no longer offering them this year. Maritz still has blue bank but a different kind of shop..last I checked.

I am keeping an eye out for this MSC because I want to complete my 5 shops in a week so that I can get paid mid-month.

me too.
Apparently, RSG is still in business. I saw just one listing for New York State and it wasn't a bank shop. I contacted my scheduler as to whether there will be any bank shops this month ,but I haven't recveived a reply yet. I have a feeling that they lost their contract. I did do one shop this month for the bank, but it was through a company that nrmally doesn't have shops for that bank. I know that a lot of us have counted on regular monthly shops for that bank. Another shopping companyy that had the same bank as an acount also hasn't posted anything for it. So, the mystery deepens as to what is going on with those bank shops.Hopefully, we can alert each other if the shops re-appear with the same MSCs or if some new MSCs have gotten the contracts.

RSG is very much active in my area. Seems as if they are doing more restaurant shops more than anything else.
Nothing here yet, between this and NSS not having their upscale shops till March, I'm not doing much but restaurants, and cutting back on that (no $$ to be made). These two MSC's helped me make my living. Jan. is dismal.

I've been able to snag 2 or 3 a month from RSG and got one last shop a couple days before Christmas. I was in contact with my scheduler and he didn't say anything about not having any jobs in January.

I just did a job search for the whole country, and nothing came up sad smiley Any jobs for others lately?

i think that they don't even exist anymore. we thought that they just lost their main bank client, but actually they seem to have lost 'all' of their clients simultaneously. unless they are starting a new company under a different name, but i haven't heard anything like that. it seems that they are gone.
Nothing in all of CA. I am thinking Jan. is slow, I have another MSC I work for and their monthly jobs are not coming in until the middle of Feb., or March. I wish we could find something out.

Before they had the large bank client, I used to notice there were months when nothing showed up on the site. However, Lisa may be working on one or many new projects that won't be posted until the project is ready to go. So, I would not give up on this MSC yet..just MHO.

i was commonly doing at least a couple of car dealerships per month for them at $75 apiece in addition to the bank shops. but those are gone too.
I just checked the RSG site for New York. They now have a new client and it's not a bank Unfortunately, there is an age restriction for the shop and I'm well past the age range. Too bad, because there are many locations for this client.
I just checked for the state of Florida and there are some shops listed for the same client with an age restriction. When I looked at the shopper instructions, I read the following...

"Hi Shoppers, Happy New Year everyone - we are beginning to get rolling for 2012...."

That is a promising statement giving me the impression that more shops are on the way. I have only performed one shop for this company back in September 2011 so they are not my bread and butter.

Ah, just checked -- same here. New client (good news) and age restriction (bad news!). Thanks for the heads-up.
Only mobile shops with age restrictions in Colorado. Previously done 5-8 shops a month for them. Now, not much going on nationwide
Hi all, this is Lisa, owner/operator of RSG (dba Mystery Researchers).

Glad to see you all enjoy working with us - we certainly appreciate all of you as well!

Few responses to the questions that started this thread...

- the bank contract did end at the end of 2011 - but we didn't lose it, it was just over. The client was actually extremely happy with us and loved the program - thanks to all of you! We hope for more work in the future, but for now - nada sad smiley sorry - it bums us out too.

- the beginning of the year is traditionally slow in the market research world, but we do have projects coming up. We launched one in January as indicated earlier in this thread, and we have more coming up shortly as well. I can think of 5 that will launch in March, just off the top of my head.

-car dealerships are supposed to start again for the year in mid-February/March-ish time frame.

So stay tuned - we aren't going anywhere.....
Lisa

Thanks for chiming in, Lisa! I join the others in being bummed about the bank program, and hope it reappears at some point. But, good to know that you have more coming up. As you can see, there's a lot of love for RSG on the board. :-)
