[www.qaci.net] Quality Assurance Consulting Mystery Shopping. I registered with them years ago and never heard anything back from them. I gather most of their work is on the East Coast and last I heard reimbursement was with double gift certificates.
QACI is reliable, easy to work with and pays...I would agree with the other shopper standard 8 weeks payment or gift card on some of the shops. It depends on the client.
Great company to work for and pays like clockwork. Make sure you stay below the reimbursement-that's their stick. It does not matter that you are personally fine going over the amount. Gift cards are for a specific client and only for the takeout shops, and you can use them for your next take out shop.
I completed a shop for them in February and was paid my full reimbursement (by check) in 2 weeks.

They don't have many shops in my area, but I would do more if I had the option to.
I just applied..

"Thank you for applying to QACi. All applications are placed in a database of shoppers but none are activated to access the site. If you are chosen to work with us, we will call you by phone or contact you by email with further instructions on the shops that are to be done and activate your personal password (which you gave yourself when you signed up). If we have an immediate need, this process usually happens in the first seven to ten days after receiving an application, but you could be contacted several months after an application is submitted, depending on the need in a certain area."

Does anyone know if they have shops in South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties?)

I registered after hearing about them on this thread. They only have shops back East, nothing on the West coast.

I am deleting my posts. Seems I contradicted myself. I am too tire to try to figure it out.

They have many restaurants at MA, NY, NJ, PA, DC and few in FL. Great company to work with.
I have been doing shops for QACI for over a year. I have never had an issue getting paid within 2 months. I DO however have an issue with their editors and grading scale. I would love to hear from others to learn if anyone has scored more than 4 out of 6 on their reviews.
I shopped for QAC when I lived in NY. I did receive a score of 6 many times. They do expect very detailed narratives. My husband loved one of their upscale restaurant clients so I spent the time needed for the report.
I'm living in TX now. QAC doesn't have shops here. I'm not really missing that detailed report. Have found new opportunities in MS here.
QAC pays on time
. James is honest and very trustworthy. If they offer assignments in your area, try one. Be up for the challenge.

I do about one shop a month with them. They pay by check and the one I've done pays a flat reimbursement. If you go over a few dollars, your score goes down. No gift cards or coupons are allowed either, at least on the casual dining shop ones I've done. They expect very detailed narratives. You have to log on to the website to see your feedback.

After doing a few, it gets easier and they don't get upset if you give any negative feedback, which is refreshing. It's a nice dinner out with my family, and I'm happy I can bring my child. The budget isn't generous- and they don't want you to tip much either. If I want a glass of wine or a margarita, I can only afford to order a house salad as my entree.

I live in NJ, so I'm not sure if they have shops in your area. I plan on continuing to shop for them because I've gotten the hang of what they expect, plus I enjoy the restaurant, the margaritas are a treat, and my family has a fun dinner out. They seem like a fair company.
I've done many shops for them. They pay on time, but usually only $39 for a non-bar shop or $45 for a bar shop. Tough grading system.
If this is the case, you spend 35$ for dinner.. you get reimbursed 35$.. on your next shop you use that gift card.. You never get 'ahead' because you'll always have to spend that gift card at that restaurant...

I was considering doing one of these as a takeout but with no real pay and only being payed back in gift cards for that place... just doesn't seem right.. I'd prefer to have cash back that I can spend how I want not have my funds tied up in a gift card

The shop that pays in gift cards has a pay structure similar to the Cheesecake Factory so you do get ahead.

Well with the ones around here it only gives you reimbursement, there is no fee unless your at the bar. Wish I had a cheesecake factory around me. I'm only on Q thru Z on the Volition Mystery Shop List..
