Re: Sutter Marketing

Just signed up with Sutter Marketing, and I'm looking at their Job Board. It lists 336 available shops across the USA. But every single one is alcohol or tobacco age compliance. So, Sutter shoppers, here's my question: Do they ever schedule anything else?

As a former Sutter shopper, yes. When a shop got rejected for a location error that was not a shopper error and I was out of pocket more than $20 for something I did not want or need, I quickly became a 'former Sutter shopper'.
LOL. That's the way to do it. Sometimes they get the message that they have to be more respectful and considerate of their shoppers.

Maybe they do not do business here in Canada as I have never heard of them.

Yes. But KSS/Kern schedules for them on most everything. I do one kind of shop for them-marketing materials for another MSCs primary burger client. Easiest work in town.
I just saw this thread when looking for information about this company. When I looked at their website, I didn't see anywhere to sign up as a mystery shopper. How did you sign up? Thanks.
I just did some work for Sutter, but I got the job through Kern.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
They primarily do alcohol and tobacco compliance. They also do a program for a fast food chain checking on individual store's marketing promotions (for example new game comes out and shopper orders all the items that are suppose to have game pieces on to see if they are on them, child meal promotion, etc).

Largely though alcohol and tobacco compliance are their main shops.

they also do audit programs that are not listed on their job boards and are given only to their regular route shoppers. Only come up when another shopper gives up their route, which isn't often. However, you do have to commit to completing the entire route each month/quarter depending on which you are given, long term.(not a bad thing)

It seems the only way to sign up with Sutter is if there are jobs on Kern Scheduling and they go fast? I sent my ID and photo but my application was never updated and the jobs are all gone now.

I tried to logon to their site by finding suttermarketing online and a prompt came up saying I needed to access their site through a mystery shopping scheduler? That must be Kern.

Can someone tell me how long it typically takes for them to add the ID and photo?

And, how often they post jobs on Kern?

Thank you.
I find them to be slow paying...not saying not within their terms, but takes a long time.

I did that and was sorry I did. I choose not to shop for Sutter anymore based on my experience with them.

I used to schedule alcohol/tobacco shops and from my experience they don't go fast at all. That said if you just are starting to look for them in my experience the ones I scheduled were quarterly so a whole big new bunch will be coming up in September. There are some companies that have them monthly but not a lot.

I am not sure about the how long to add ID and photo because as soon as I got it you were good to go...if the scheduler needs someone they will pretty much jump on a new alcohol/tobacco shopper that wants to work. If you have more specific questions feel free to PM me as I am not sure if I will remember to check this thread.

From what I have seen about Sutter they pay on the 15th of the following month(paypal) Honestly I love this company, they do primarily do complaince, but I have never had any problems with them, and the scheduler is getting to the point where she emails me the next months shops before she posts them to sassie, and they have never missed a payment and besides the point the shops that I complete for them I can complete in about 5 minutes and its easy!
