Sinclair Customer Metrics unsolisited EMail

Just noticed that there was an EMail from Sinclair Customer Metrics in my "Junk" directory from the 12th.. I didnt click on any links, but did a search on the web and they 'appear' to be legit... however, the Email "From" is from an - Errett(patriciaplass7@AOL.com .. they wanted me to reply to: erettbrooke@rocketmail.com

Sinclair Customer Metrics sounds like a decent company to sign up with, but I'm thinkin the Email was a little fishy.. I'll explore them more, but directly off of their website to be safe..

Anyone have any info on this company?

tks,

rick

PS - what's funny is that I just TODAY thought of, and began looking into this as a legitimate retirement activity that could add a little to my retirement fund - dont know where they would have picked up me as a 'prospect'.. ;-)

Hi Rick. The company is legit. I dunno about the email addy. What state are you in?

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
You are wise to question companies that 'find you' for no apparent reason since scammers do use the names of legitimate companies to try to trick folks into being parted with their money. But yes, Sinclair is legitimate and the "Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies" link at the bottom of every page of the forum will give you both a link to their site as well as links to discussions.
I know most of the people at that company, and I have never of that person. The real sinclair uses a company e-mail address.

Company is legit, the email is not. You have a smart spam filter -- it most definitely is a scammer email, "borrowing" the name of a legitimate company. As stated above, real emails from Sinclair come from a company address.
I got that email from Sinclair and I knew right away it was a Scam. I wanted to forward it to Sinclair but forgot about it....

If you get an email from Sinclair, it will have scmcontact.com in the email...
I can tell you from doing many shops with Sinclair that it is a very reputable company, and a great company to work with.
I work for them several times a month & they are good. I would suggest ignoring your "junk" email and signing up on the company website.
I don't get much to do with Sinclair, but they are a reputable company.

I will also say that Sinclair Customer Metrics is a very reputable company and a great one to work with. Just when you get any e-mail with their name on it, go to a search engine and search their website directly from the search engine. You will more than likely hit the correct and valid one.
SSA-Sinclair is fantastic. Like a lot of other msc, spammers use their name. I worked for them for over 5 years and they never send out spam mail. Their weekly email lists all the shops they have available in a professional format.

Sinclair has been getting some very favorable posts on this forum recently (including mine). If the scammer saw these, he may have decided it would be a good name to "borrow" to pull in some unsuspecting newbies for God-knows-what- all evil doings. I'm glad to hear you didn't get suckered.
agree sorry they are getting spammed. So tired of all the creepy junk out there. Come on whoever you are go get a JOB like we are doing and leave the illegit stuff away from us. DO NOT have time for this.
I have only done one kind of shops for them as they don't have much in my area, but I do like having a pretzel every 90 days winking smiley
Sinclair is a good company and pays on time. The schedulers are very friendly and even calls me on the phone if they need shoppers. You get shop fee and plus free groceries or merchandises. Forms are easy to fill up.

I do a lot for Sinclairs & Maritz shops.
Sinclair dropped the fee for two of their shops that just posted today for August. I had been doing these for several years including the previous company that had them. I will no longer do them.
@ OTTOR

Ottor, a lot of times if you have signed up on Sassie shops or job slinger and checked off tht you are open to solicitation, other sassie companies will contact you unbidden. It still means you have to check them out here on Jacob's list and search, but that maybe where they got your name.

I go along with the others. SCM is legitimate but still contact the company's website directly.

There are lots of scams using legit MSC names
The OP's e-mail was obviously a scam. Two big flags are the e-mail addresses, AOL and Rocketmail. Plus legitimate e-mails usually do not come from one and have you reply to another.

Anyone know how to figure out the rotation for Sinclair? I know it's a bit off topic for this post, but why start a new thread. I did three shops for them I think in June. They were super easy and paid fairly quickly. I would love to do more of them, but they only have the three locations that I can easily get to. Just wondering how long I have to wait to go back there and look at pretty sparklies.
@ JS - I had a couple of questions regarding one of my shops. The scheduler was the same for two different stores. I just asked! smiling smiley
