ACE & Strategic Reflections..shopmetrics ???

For some reason I can't see any jobs in my screen when I log in to these companies websites and yet every day without fail I get sent an email containing jobs in my area....anybody have any idea why? Thanks!

You have to go to the box on the left hand side of the page and click on the bottom option "Available Shops|Projects" then they will show up in the middle section.
That doesn't work. When I type in my zip code and radius of even 100 miles it says there are no open apportunities. Meanwhile, I still get emails with jobs in my area??? What am I missin? I use IE 7 or 8, could that be it? Never had a browser issue.
I clicked on surveys. In the drop down box I chose something and then I change or make sure the zipcode is where I want to be. I try not to go through the msjobboard site b/c it is confusing. It seems like the site wants something for nothing. I enter thru the Company site and have better luck.

The open opportunities usually have a wide number of shops so sometimes you can click on something and get all the shops across the country. I hopes this helps a little. :-)

Maybe Alex can help you. He is the shopmetrics guru.
I had that problem, too, until I figure out a little trick. On the left hand side you click on the available jobs (or some such language) there is usually a number underneath it showing total jobs in the system. When you click on that, it should populate with jobs in your profile area. There will also be a sentence in red at the top of the box saying something about looking for jobs outside your area. Click on that. The box should be then populated with ALL available shops in their system. At that point, insert your zip code and mileage, click on update. The system should then populate the box with available shops in your parameters.
Ok so it must be a Shopmetrics thing. I have the same problem for all compaines using this platform. I even emailed Measure the other day and they told me I couldn't see them because they already filled the requirements. Already filled??? I just got an email AND I got the same email with the same jobs the next day.

I will try your tricks Avitoots...hope it works for us who don't understand LOL! Thanks a bunch.
I had the exact same problem with all companies using that system and had to do what others have mentioned. Click on Open Opportunities or whatever it says on the left of the screen and they'll show up. I don't know why clicking on the link doesn't open the available jobs like it should but this method works for any company using this annoying system.
If you want to see shops in Shopmetrics, click on the Open Opportunities link on the left hand side. It automatically shows everything in the mileage radius you gave in your profile.

If you want to see what's outside of your area or look for phone or website shops, remove you zip and the # of miles from the box, then click search and wade through everything. Or remove the zip and miles and click on the ALL SURVEYS drop down menu and you can scroll through what's available like that. Or if you're visiting out of town, put in the zip and distance you're interested in. Simple.

Not sure how that's annoying. You have to click on links to get to the available shops in Shopmetrics, SASSIE, Prophet, or ClientSmart. Personally, I like Shopmetrics the best of those and it doesn't have the distasteful association SASSIE has.
AlwaysAngie -- I found that just changing the parameters without clicking on the red sentence above the parameters just doesn't work. If you put the variables in after clicking on the sentence, it then works. Figured that out with trial and error.
Glad I am not the only one who has problems with ShopMetrics. Not the easiest system in the world. Much prefer Prophet and Sassie.
Really? I've never had an issue with the way I described. I know Shopmetrics regularly updates their system, so that might have something to do with it. I'm sure you're probably checking for shops more than I do since I only look occassionally. Too lazy unless I get an interesting email. LOL It's still my favorite system of the four, though Prophet and SASSIE work well. I do not like ClientSmart, though. But to each his/her own, right?
I agree it should be streamlined I don't get why people have problems w. Sassie. Always works easily for me and shows your shops past and present. Shopmetrics does not.
Jersey, offhand, there's Service Solutions...no, they're Service Scouts now, Inside Hospitality, TNS, The Brand Agency, and Shadow Agency. My biggest issue is I want more questions per page before I have to go on to the next page. Of course, a number of MSPs do that (BestMark, ICC/DS)

Cyn, in Shopmetrics, if you look under Settings at the top left and choose Pay History in the drop down menu, you'll see all your old shops there. You'll have to open each file to see what specific job it was, but it's there. Then, of course, the current ones are on your home page.

I don't dislike the SASSIE system, but there are a few reasons I'm not as partial to SASSIE. Not all are direct shopper issues but MSP-related, like the fact that it costs more for MSPs to use SASSIE. That's not just more money out of the MSPs' pockets but *potentially* money out of the shopper's pockets. Of course, the companies choose which platforms they use, too.

With Shopmetrics, SASSIE, and Prophet, I *love* their simple applications. I can't remember ClientSmart, but I think it's a pretty simple process. That's something I love with any company or platform! winking smiley

Haven't shopped with Caliber but I agree. Sometimes the shops are worth the hassle. I used to do football games and take my husband or son. The reimbursement amount for two tickets and parking made it worth it for me, especially when I'd land the box seats. Even for the Rock Pile, it was still worth it as that was about $80 for the tickets alone. After a few, it got easier but I still felt like I was fighting against the system instead of it working for me. My favorites are those that have everything laid out on one page. It's easier to go through that way.
If this is what I think it is, there is no way to save the last page to go back over your work. You have to go back, in which case you lose every thing on that page, or you have to submit, in which case you can not double check. I also, I keep running into technical difficulties.

For which program, Jersey? Clientsmart, Shopmetrics, Prophet, and SASSIE all offer the ability to save your work and go back to it later.
Then it is not Clientsmart I am thinking of. There is one that does not allow you to save a page unless you are going forward. If you want to go back, you lose everything on that page. Very frustrating.
Hi Gang!

WOW do I feel behind the times on this post! a lot can happen over a long weekend, I guess winking smiley

The notification emails are being looked at. This is a bug we know about, and development is doing what they can to correct it. My guess is that since parts of the last update were done by hand, there could be a bug in the code somewhere that they have not found yet. Shouldn't be a big deal, though. It'll be fixed as soon as possible.

Has anyone noticed more shops showing up in emails and not on the boards? Send me an email and let me know aeding@shopmetrics.com

I have had a problem with getting emails for jobs and then going to the site and not seeing the jobs on the boards. I shop all the time for several companies in shopmetrics but I have found that if I go to the site and the jobs arent on the boards there. I can go to msjobboard.com and the jobs for some reason will show up on that board. It is weird to me.

Sand, I have had issues using IE 8 at the Ace site and the Shopper's Crtique site. I have had to switch to Safari just to view their databases and its very annoying.

I have noticed that. Not necessarily ACE but the companies that I have with Shopmetrics. I emailed an MSC the other day saying I got it in the email, but there is nothing there...he must have thougth I was a dummy because he responded to me telling me the exact same thing I just told him I was doing. Glad to know it wasn't just me!

I have also noticed that when I click on the "Available opportunities" under my stuff to the left. I also get places 500+ miles away. Not all, just a few 3-5. My distance is usually 60-75 miles. So I wasn't sure why I get stuff for places so far away. Thanks for your help!
