Freeman Pay Issues

If you are having payment issues with freeman shop I would suggest e-mailing the address below. I sent a few messages and will see how it goes. To me it was typical MSC stuff but wanted to be sure everyone that needed the information has it.

For all pay inquiries please email

limitedserviceshoppe@freemangroup.org

Just received a PM from the shopper that did one for them in Kuwait some time ago. The response she received was basically we are having funding problems and cannot tell you when or if you will be paid, but I will get back to you in 3-4 weeks. This isa pyramid scheme and we need to shut it down.

But the bad thing I was told by Kim Scarcia they are low on funds and it will take additional 3 to 4 weeks when they get more funds to pay shoppers. I have received two emails from this lady was told they still don't have funds on 6/5/12 contacted her in another 3 to 4 weeks and they may have the issue worked out.

I did receive payment for one mystery shop for this company but I am still need a payment for 180 dollars. I am filing a bbb claim and going from there.
If you look on their site, there are basically no shops to do. I do believe they are going out of business. I am owed for three shops that are over the 90 day mark. I too have received the 3-4 week email. Last year this time they had the new shops out already, I do believe that the contract was finally lost to them.
I do think that is the definitions of a pyramid scheme. You "invest" your money and they use it for their expenses and cannot pay you back. This has been going on for years and they deserve to be prosecuted. They probably could have run a profitable business if they had just used reasonable business practices. Any attorneys out there want to weigh in?
They aren't posting the jobs on their boards anymore, but Private Eyes is posting on their board saying they are scheduling for Freeman Group. I think that FG knows that can't even ask people to complete them and is trying to get someone else to do their dirty work.
Yes, Private Eyes is sending e-mails with shops for Freeman. I wonder if Freeman started using an independent scheduler because it could no longer easily schedule its shops due to payment issues. I like Private Eyes a lot and I was saddened to see that they are scheduling for a non-payer company.
Hi guys

This is my very first post on the forums. I found this place because I am past 16 weeks for a hotel shop I did for Freeman Groups back in March. I have written the company 6 times so far, with absolutely NO RESPONSE to any of my emails.

I have never had a bad experience with a mystery shop before this, but this is my first one with Freeman, and because of their overdue payment plus lack of response, I fear that I am going to be screwed out of the $100 of my own money I spent doing the shop, not to mention the actual pay.

So my question is, what are my options? Who else can I write to besides the "limitedserviceshoppe@freemangroup.org" that I've been emailing with no success?

Thanks for your help!

I been emailing a lady named Kim Scarcia. This is the email that I got from her recently. Below is her contact information. I have been waiting payment for a while, they owe me nearly 200.00. I recieved payment for one of my shops back in May. Right now they are 3 months past my due date of being paid. I have heard some people are nearly 6 months or longer without a check from being paid. If you keep harassing them is what i was told they will pay you. I been writing her an email every and one to the main freedomgroup webpage of not paying their mystery shoppers.

She is apologize for not getting back to you sooner. My email has been very loved due to the delay and all the payment inquiries. We are beginning to receive funds from accounts receivable but since there is such a back up in shops we have many that we are trying to catch up on. I also do not handle funds directly so I am not certain how much I will get or when.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info. I will CC Kim on my next message. I've been emailing once a week, and am up to my 7th inquiry with no response. I will up my email frequency to one a day from here on out, and change the subject line to whatever # inquiry this one is. It doesn't look good for us, unfortunately, eh?
Well, lesson learned. Never again will I shop for Freeman Group. Ugh.

I believe we will get our money but it will be awhile. I been emailing kim for the last 3 months. I have talked to another lady on here and she finally got all her shops paid for. she told it took her awhile. I do believe we will get paid but it won't be in a timely manner.
I realize you guys are new to Freeman, but for one thing when you go to
a thread do not just read the last post or you will not get a very good picture. This has been going on with them for YEARS. You will probably get paid at some time. They lie.
Kim has responded to me once. She said 2-3 weeks which has come and gone.

Today, I got an e-mail from tturner@freemangroup.org (not Private Eyes) trying to schedule a number of the hotel shops. I hope that they have enough to pay those they already owe before they dig themselves and even deeper hole.

Ok, I finally did hear back from Kim. I got the standard reply:

"I apologize for not getting back to you sooner my inbox is very full due to the payment delay. Accounts receivable has been delayed and it has backed up our accounts payable. Unfortunately I do not have a set date to give you at this time. I want to clarify that this is the only shop you are inquiring about. If so I will flag it and add it to the priority list to be paid as soon as we are able to make payments."

Great. <rolling eyes>

So then, a few minutes later, I get another email, saying that they did not receive my paperwork, and it's in the "missing paperwork" file. WHAT?

My status has been "payment pending" for MONTHS... I've emailed repeatedly asking for payment status update for the last month, with no response, and NOW you tell me my paperwork is missing??

Has anyone else had the "missing paperwork" excuse??
I got a similiar message but they haven't said they were missing my paperwork. My status on their website says payment pending.

I been leaving messages with the freedom group main webpage. some people tell me it takes a long period of time to get paid, one was over a yearthat got paid.

Private Eyes posted elsewhere in the forum that they are working on getting the payment problems removed. Seems like that's wishful thinking....
I noticed that Private Eyes was scheduling for Freeman and felt sad. I like Private Eyes. How does a scheduler (whether independent or internal scheduler) feel when they are scheduling jobs knowing the shoppers are not being paid?
I just recieved an email last night giving me a date stating when I will be paid for one of my not shops. I was asking how come not pay me fulling for 2 completed shops that i did
I have the number to call them!! PM me for it!
I just got off the phone with them, and they are having payment issues, and still haven't paid from Jan-Feburary shops. Mine was in March.

I wanted to snatch up a hotel shop, but didn't because the first one wasn't paid.

They have 2 of my favorite clients, but its a long wait to get paid... sad smiley
Thanks to all who post, I just signed up to do 5 shops with freeman.I will not be doing those. I looked at my board and they still owe me to.

Yeah, good idea. It's unfortunate they are losing good shoppers because of this.
How long have you been waiting for your unpaid shop?

I'm happy to have found this forum. Wish I had found it before I accepted my shop in March! yawning smiley
I did the shop in march. Now I'm waiting to hear back from the scheduler to see what he has to say.

Please be AWARE they always have pay issues for years. As long as they are in business this will be the case. Not new Pyramid scheme.
They are ALWAYS having payment issues. I do shops regularly for over 30 companies and I have never experienced any problems with payments like Freeman. I was told most companies would not even reply to you at this point. I'm going on 6 months waiting for payment. I have called, I have e-mailed. The only reason I signed up for this site is to warn people...DON'T shop for this company.
I tried the e-mail address posted. I got through the first time, apparently so many people used that address they disabled it.
