Can anyone tell me how they pay? I thought I read that others were having problems getting payment so I have steered clear of them. Now I can't find where I read that?

Anyone have any more current info on Data Quest, especially their hotel shops? Good experience, bad, how are the forms, especially for someone who hasn't done a hotel shop before?

They have some hotels available in my area and it looks interesting, but the most recent info I can find beyond mentioning they have hotel shops is a few years old, and for something as expensive as hotels I don't wanna just go ahead and risk it like I might be willing to do with a $10 lunch or something.

They pay by check. As for payment problems, my research has not uncovered any such reports. I wonder if you could be confusing them with someone else.

As for more recent info - I have completed a museum and auto service shop for them. The reports require significant narratives, but not quite as much as Coyle. The instructions were clear and schedulers were responsive. They have hotel shops in my area and I am considering one from them in the near future. My experience with Data Quest has been a good one.

Hi, I love them! I do hotels when I can. They simply reverse the charges to your credit card. That is providing that your report is accepted. It is very detailed. They expect 6-8 sentances per comment. You'll have a lot of areas to investigate, so read the description well. But, they are a great company.

I am performing my first overnight resort and spa stay today/tomorrow for Data Quest. I have read thru everything 2-3 times and for the life of me, I can not find the "sample report" that they refer to suggesting that I read it before performing the shop. I contacted my scheduler the other day and she replied, "The sample report is located at the top of the blank survey. There is a blue link that says "download". If you click on it the sample report will download as a PDF."

The blue link I clicked on downloads the very detailed guidelines for the shop but no sample report. And I printed out all 20 pages in case I missed it online. Still no luck.

My scheduler has an automated outgoing e-mail response that she is out-out-town for a long weekend and she won't have access to her e-mail. Does anyone know where this "sample report" is? This is my first assignment with Data Quest and my first luxury hotel stay.

Shop2LiveinFL, This is one of the easiest 4-star hotel shop I have ever done, but I have done over 50 hotels with five different msc. I actually had time to walk the beach and work out in the gym. It's straight forward and the details are no more than writing for a FD shop. I got a "10" without any clarification and I managed to write most of the narrative before check out.

I still have a copy of their sample report, but I don't know if I am allowed to share it with you re. ICA.

Thanks Cubbie. I am typing from the resort lobby right now. The free Wi-Fi is in the lobby but it is not a secure line so my guidelines say not to access the MSC's website or report from here. They charge $12.95 to use Wi-Fi in my room. I have been taking good notes and filling out the hardcopy report while in my room. I write up the report when I get back home tomorrow.

I am getting up early in the morning so I can walk the beach...weather permitting.

As far as the sample report goes, can you tell me where to find it? Like I said earlier, the blue link brought me to the guidelines but no sample report.

They did not reimburse my wi-fi charge of $9.95, The schedule said they sometimes will reimburse it if charged to the room. I couldn't live without wi-fi.

I remember not having any problem finding the link to the sample report. Have you tried using a different browser? Sometimes a link will work on Firefox, but not IE I always save a pdf copy of all my shop guidelines and samples.

I'm new to Data Quest and I'm wanting some feedback on over-all experience. How they pay for your shops and you, etc.? Any general information you may have for me based on your experiences of course.

I like them. They reply to emails pretty fast and paid as agreed.

I found them easy to work with. They paid quickly and as posted in the guidelines. And I received a "10" so I am happy.

I did a very high paying shop to them in April and have not been paid. My report was approved. Should I just continue to wait on payment? Like I said, this is a significant reimbursement to the tune of several hundred dollars.

I think the wait is almost around 90 days...

LindaM- the check actually came in the mail today! 75 days.

Yeah, they take a while, but they always pay.

I did a couple of shops for them. I was told check was to be mailed on said date. Week later still not received. Contacted them eventually guy said he would cut new check and mail that day. That was 6/24/14. If not received by 6/30/14 will contact again. They also made this ridiculous statement "Good morning Edward. Once a shop is complete, Sassie always reverts to $0.00 expenses. I’m not sure why, but we use a different system to pay from anyway. ". I would caution against working for them at the moment if I receive my check by Monday I may give them a 2nd chance.

Update:
I received the check today and was paid in full including the reimbursements for the right amount. I am hoping it was a one time error on their end. I will cautiously give them a 2nd chance and do one shop. If that gets paid with no problems Then I will be happy to work with them.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

I wanted to add that I did three shops for them in July and received a check from them on the 28th of August.

I know for a fact this is not true.

So do I. I see no problem with all my other sassie companies and reimbursement. Just be cauious with doing work for them I would only do a little at a time.
