LRA WORLDWIDE: Feedback please

Does this company still use only it's employees to conduct shops??

Read about them in that CNN hotel story link, looked on V GOD site and others say they do not hire mystery shoppers and instead' rely on their own employees. That posting was from many months back, so maybe the situation has changed??? No sign up links on their site as today.

They have quite an impressive client list!!

Many Thanks

There's another MSC also very recently discussed that schedules outside shoppers for them.
I have done a hotel shop for them and am not an employee. I get the offers through email usually once a month.

I wrote them and was told they weren't looking for anyone in my area. Ok...no worries. Plenty of work.
The hotels I do for them comes by email invite. Once the shop is assigned, I report them on the LRA site. I'm a IC ms, not an employee.

I am going to paste the reply that I just made to the other LRA thread here.

LRA has only a few projects that are traditional MS assignments and seems to recruit and keep a small cadre of IC shoppers for each project. They appear to be by invitation only. Most of their work is done by their employees and appears to entail much, much more detail than what we see offered,, including measurements, and requires a work history in the industry being reviewed. For these reasons, you are unlikely to see much about LRA in "the usual places."

If/when you see a traditional MSC that has LRA shops, understand that LRA is then the client, so you cannot reveal which MSC managed the shops. LRA may also use an MSC or a scheduling company to recruit ICs who may then have their ICA relationship with LRA, and the MSC or scheduler drops out of the picture. Either way, the shopper cannot reveal which MSC or scheduler was the source. At least, that is my understanding.

@donnashoppingca - Please start new posts instead of resurrecting 1 year old conversations. Several of us will start reading and think it is new content.
@donnashoppingca - Thank you for researching to see what information was available instead of just starting a new thread. Of course, we all have different opinions, but, to me, resurrecting a 1 year old post and adding to it is much preferable to starting a new thread. Some like having new threads started; others of us like the continuity of limiting the number of threads on a particular company. Good job! I appreciate that you did not start a new thread.
I agree with both donnashoppingca for continuing an existing thread and AustinMom's post. We do NOT need to start a new thread like we change our underwear. Many times it is very helpful to see the history of a particular MSC or client or scenario. That is why the seasoned shoppers tell newbies to read, read, read the forum. So they can become informed of the Wonderful World of MS'ing.

That is why there are dates and time stamps located at the bottom of each post. As MS'ers, we need to be observant. We don't need a hundred threads on the same subject matter.

Personally I don't see a problem with starting a new thread once a year.

As long as you turn it inside out every few days, me neither.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
I wish all threads were locked down for new posts after a year (or even less in many cases). The titles are usually long irrelevant after the initial situation has been resolved. The thread may have wandered into other areas, making it confusing whether the resurrecting poster is commenting about the title situation, or something near the bottom of the thread.

(I also wish the thread list would show not only the name of the OP, but also the date of the post. If I knew this resurrected post was two years old I probably wouldn't bother looking at it because half the time it's a spammer who pulled it up.)

Time to build a bigger bridge.
So the posts never expires? Just curious...

In this case, the only off topic discussion on this thread are the recent posts about weather we should be posting into old threads or not.

The information presented two years ago is still current, so there's no reason for someone to start a new LRA thread and have us report the same information. If you read this thread for the first time, it is still new content for you. Why does it matter that someone asked the question in the past?
