ERIC GOODWIN of Goodwin Assoicates

Eric Goodwin writes----> JULY 19 assignments aren’t due according to our terms on our site. We’ll do our best to get you paid, but will follow our terms."

I was begging for my payment. The shop was completed on April 19. With payment due 19 of July (90 days later). As I have posted before I don't mind begging because it brings results, but for the Rep of this company to not know when ninety days are up is degrading. When ERIC sent this email he also sent a copy of the email to LING LaF, (the GAH accountant in the accounting dept). It appears Ling no longer has an EMA for Goodwin Associates. It is a wonder Eric does not know what is going on his namesake company.

Last year when I had to beg for several payments it was a ERIC CORSON, Kori COTnoir, and LING LaF that I contacted. It seems they may have moved on. I hope ERIC Goodwin is not ERIC Corson or maybe he is having an identity crisis. I am aware in an July post about GAH, a poster replied they had been in contact with LING. Well apparently she must have left since them. I noticed on the blog of GAH, that in June they were looking for accounting executives.

Begging is one thing but outright stupidity is another. I want to get paid according to "YOUR" terms.

I just no longer take any shops from this company as it got "old" always asking for my money.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but what do you mean by EMA? BTW, I made a payment inquiry not too long ago, directly with Ling, and was paid promptly.
EMA, e-mail account maybe?

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

EMA---->email address or account (same diffeence)

I know, in the July post on GAH, a poster stated Ling paid her promptly. And Ling has paid me in the past. I sent my email to ERIC Corson, Kurt, and Ling. The email for Kurt and Ling returned undeliverable. ERIC GOODWin responsed to the email by saying that ,"himself and Ling were my contacts". I emailed Goodwin and Ling again, I stated "90 days is Your term, August 10th is 100 days." Ling's mail again returned undeliverable. This was the address Goodwin included in his email to me. I am assumming he received the same email from DAEMON about LING. "Your terms my contact"

This is a company that seldom pays reimbursements on their novelty shops. I want my shoppers fee.

Goodwin is tight on the flat fee but I enjoy doing the shops they offer. I had one pay incident for a reimbursent for a shop that was to be credited back to my card used and it was resolved.
I wrote the payment department of Goodwin Associates at the beginning of the month, and a woman named Jackie Vessey responded to my email. She was profusely apologetic, and said that I should receive payment for my past due shops by the end of this week. Meanwhile, another shop is coming past due as well, so I asked her if she could include that one in the payment. I will keep y'all updated.
I finally got paid. Not on Eric's term but on terms which have succeeded the norm of 90 ninety. (one hundred and five days and with begging.) :-)
To each his/her own, but if I'm going to beg it sure as hell will be for far more money than shopping pays and definitely not for cash I deserve.
All my payments from this company come from begging but it works.

I'm not trying to tell other shoppers what to do but I really don't understand. Why don't some of you apparently have trouble begging, sometimes repeatedly, for payments? Why do some of you seem content to continue to work for MSCs that require begging before paying shoppers what they are owed?

I can understand if work is scarce in your areas and you really don't have many alternatives. However, if that is the case, isn't working for MSCs like Freeman and Goodwin too risky?

These are not rhetorical questions. I am genuinely curious. Thanks.
I'm talking for myself only, the only reason why I take shops from Goodwin was because they have new shops so therefore a new experience.

I sent my "begging" e-mail last Sunday for my May payments and I received an almost immediate response from Eric Goodwin...

"Eric Corson is no longer with our company, so for future use please contact us payment@mysteryshopperprogram.com . I am CC’ing our payment lead person Ling on this and we’ll get an answer back to you promptly. I appreciate you being a shopper for us."

I wrote back thanking him for the quick reply. Then for good measure I threw in a "Go Red Sox" and "Go Patriots" since their company is located in New Hampshire. These statements make not work on LisaSTL but he liked it. :-)

A few hours later, I got an e-mail from Ling...

"Thank you for alerting us of your payment situation. We just started May payments and will process throughout the month of August. You can expect it through Paypal within the next 3 business days.
In the meantime, I greatly appreciate your patience. Thank you for being a shopper with us."

I was paid by PayPal the following day. And as an added bonus, they included my June payment also. It was only $10.00 but it was a nice surprise.

So, was it my delightful writing skills or my brown-nosing "Go Red Sox" and "Go Patriots" that worked? :-)

I was just paid for my June shop ... now I'm still waiting for the March and April ones.

Did you have to ask for it? I have the date in my calendar when I have to send them an email requesting June's payment. It is not quite 90 days yet.
Because of the late status of my March and April payments I had to ask about the June payment. Now I switched recently from check to PayPal, so that is why I got my June payment (I also believe that it is also because of my nagging about the March and April payments that they gotme the June payment now).

That is a key sentence there my friend. Why on Earth are you doing 2012 work for a company that did not pay properly in 2011?? Ever heard the phrase "screw me once shame on you; screw me twice shame on me"? I hope you get paid but it might be better for you if you don't = apparently you need to pay tuition (the lost payent) to learn a lessone (don't deal with companies that dont pay properly)
The last time I did some work for Goodwin, it took them more than 120 days to pay. It was between $200-300 and part of it was reimbursement. That same accountant person, who I was referred to, ignored my enquiry. So, I asked them who I should contact, the company or BBB. I was surprised at the speed at which they sent my long overdue payment. Never did anything for them agan.
I just received my payment in the mail from them and I have to tell you I am utterly surprised. I did not have to send them an email bec. it has not yet been 90 days. I have a note to myself to send an email at the end of the month, but this is the very FIRST time I did not have to send an email and received payment. I don't do a lot for this company bec. I don't like to have to keep after them for payment bec. it never comes based on their payment schedule. I am hoping that this means that they are getting their act together. I hope others will keep us updated. I am still reluctant to ever do much for them but hoping that today's check is a good sign.
