Nationwide Services Group

I was trying to find out if anyone (other than me) has not been paid for shops done for NSG (Nationwide Services Group). They are listed (twice) on the "Official List" but as it turns out both links go to RSG (Research Services Group). RSG is a legit company that pays (or has paid me) fast and in full.
NSG still owes me for a shop done in April. It is now the end of August. Their job log says it was paid May 31. At first I thought maybe there was an error somewhere. I sent numerous emails since June and I have never gotten a response. I made dozens of calls (only to reach voicemail every time) and had no calls returned. None. Zero. The recording thanks you for calling NSG AND Mobile Billboards of Ohio. Odd. How shady is it when two "companies" share a voice mail? Voice mail service is cheap. My wife and I have separate voice mail.
This is the first time ever I have not been paid for a shop. Anybody have suggestions on what to do about it?

I have worked for Nationwide since 2008. Their website is [www.nationwidesg.com] They are legit and so far always gotten paid on time. They only have two clients in my market, an upscale restaurant, which I shop, and alcohol compliance reveal shops at a restaurant/bar, which I don't shop. I just did a bonused job for them last night. They pay by check and I can't remember exactly how long their payment schedule is, but April-August is way too long. Seems like for an April shop the payment is the end of May which would coincide with what the shop log shows. Not sure. Maybe your check is lost. Have you double-checked to be sure the correct address is in your profile?

I have never tried to phone them. I've always communicated with them by e-mail. E-mail Laura Unger at laura@nationwidesg.com It's been my experience that Laura is on top of everything and nobody else there is.

They don't work weekends so don't expect a response until Monday or Tuesday.
Hey Mom,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I checked and everything was accurate. Then again, even if it was wrong they still had my email address and phone number. How hard is it to reply to an email? or call somebody back? or answer the phone in the first place.

I wouldnt be sweating it if anyone responded to my calls or emails, even if it was to say the check got lost in the mail. But for three months, 12 emails, and over 30 calls with no response, come on. It's not like it's going to break either of us. It's only 35 bucks, but its my 35 bucks and I want it.

Anyway, thanks again for the reply. At least I know the company exists and has paid people. I will try emailing Laura but I am pretty sure I already sent her one or two. I am glad to hear you have never had a problem with them, and I hope you never do. As for me, even if they pay me now, I will never do a shop for them again. You know, burn me once ...

I haven't done any work for them since late 2010 but they did pay me. I don't think they've had shops in my area.
I agree with you, I'm certainly not defending them for not answering your e-mails. I get the idea they are a low-budget operation, which also doesn't excuse them. That's why I suggested Laura, she appears to be the only one who answers e-mails there or knows what's going on. And I agree that I don't work for a company again when I have to beg for my payment. I've scratched a couple off my list for that. I just thought, since the shop log shows a payment, there might be a mistake.
Hey Mom,

I hope I didnt come off sounding like an "anal orifice". It's hard to convey "tone of voice" without the voice.
I get what you are saying and I honest to God appreciate your response. And I am glad to know they are around and paying people. It gives me hope. I figured it for a mistake from the beginning but the whole no response thing made me wonder. You are probably right about it being low-budget.
Turns out I did not email Laura about not getting paid. It was about another shop. I am about to email her about the payment. I'll let you know how it all turns out.
Thanks again, seriously, for responding.

Warmest regards,

Glen

Good news! I emailed Laura and asked her to check in to it, got a reply and today ... I GOT MY CHECK!

Great! Glad to hear it. Glad to hear a good company is still good. Thanks for letting us all know!
Shop this company at your own risk. I have sent multiple payment e-mails and left messages, all to no avail. I will update, if anything new happens.

audrialyn, were you not paid for the late August shop you did for them? I did one right around the time we both posted - mine was done 8/23 - and I was paid on 10/03. I have always had difficulty getting responses. The only one who has ever responded to me from Nationwide is Laura Unger.
They haven't paid me for a shop I completed in August. They are not responding at all to my inquiries about payment, but continue to solicit my services for future shops. Does anyone know who is in charge of this company? I'm sick and tired of Laura's non-responses.
I am on same boat too. I will report them to the MSPA and the BBB. Not that it will do much good.
Laura no longer works for NSG. She emailed me in October letting me know she was leaving. I have been receiving my payments, but one thing you may want to make sure of is that NSG has your current address. If you have moved, you have to email NSG with your address. Updating it in Sassie does not update their payment system because they pay from a separate software. I know this is different but when I went to update my address in Sassie there was a message that said I also needed to email them with my new address.

They do not respond to e-mails.
AustinMom,
Here's what the email said,

A Personal Note…

I wanted to drop you a note and let you know that this upcoming round of [client] is my last – I’m transitioning into something different after 18years. I was hoping that you could pick up as many [client] as you can this next round for me. I’ve attached my full list and If you can shop and get them all done by the 31st and get the reports turned in by then, I will add them in so that it will count as October shops being paid around Thanksgiving instead of waiting until the following month. Let me know.

If you could help me for the last time – this would be great – email me what you can do.

On a personal note, it’s been a pleasure ‘knowing’ you and working with you – you have really made my job easier by being so reliable and doing such an awesome job!! I can’t thank you enough and I appreciate everything!!! Thanks so much!!!

I'm sorry to see her go.......she seemed to be the only one the who answered emails and got things done-----here's hoping we get paid for our last shops. I'm a little nervous hearing from unpaid shoppers. In the past I have not had a problem.
UPDATE: I received a check from this group today. I personally have deactivated myself from NSG. I can not tell shoppers what to do, but I would advise shoppers to proceed with caution.
I guess things have turned out bad since Laura is no longer with the company. I did four shops in October and until this day I have not received payments. I've called and emailed and nothing. Shoppers beware of doing shops for this company at this point. Never had a problem with them until now shows so much for the company that they can't even get back to you. They can at least put a voicemail saying they are experiencing delays on payments but I guess that is not the case. If you guys have any information on where to report them that would be gladly appreciated.
Hello - I did a shop for this company in September. I checked the website and it says paid on 10/29. I have yet to receive payment. I double checked my paypal account and my mailing address. I have been calling and emailing the company for about a month now, but I haven't received a call back. I tried calling again today and now I get get a generic voicemail, instead of their company voicemail like I have before. I'm pretty new to shopping, I was wondering if I could report them? Or is my payment a lost cause?

Thanks!
Nationwide pays by check. I usually get it around the 5th of the month - so October shops should have reached me about December 5. I have not received that payment yet. I've shopped for them pretty regularly since 2008 and have never not been paid. They do not answer phone calls or e-mail. This is nothing new. They never did. Laura was the only one who answered e-mails and she is now gone. I have my fingers crossed because this has been a good company for me since 2008. I'm waiting to see on this.
I did two shops for them, one in April and one in May. Both are listed as paid on Sassie but I have not received the checks. Laura was aware of it and I heard back from her once but she did not resolve it before she left. I sent another message and got a response asking which payments were missing. That was about a month ago. I have emailed several times since then with no response.
They don't have a lot of jobs on their website. I think one ofntheir biggest clients switched to another company.
BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS NOT SENDING PAYMENTS. IF YOU GET A CHANCE TO TALK TO SOMEONE IT IS A RUDE MAN. DOES NOT EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE PROPERLY. I SAY WE ALL REPORT THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAMMING EVERYONE THAT DID SHOPS FOR THEM.
After Laura left, I stoped receiving my checks. I'm still owed over $100 for shops they begged me to do with bonuses back in SEPTEMBER! Now I'm out the money I spent plus I'm not being paid for the jobs I completed. My jobs showed that I wasn't paid until I started sending e-mails, then it was swiched to say I was paid in October which isn't true! I have e-mailed them and the only reply I got was that "Laura doesn't work here anymore" since I was e-mailing her. All of my voicemails have been ignored, and now the 800 number no longer has a professional souning answering machine, and it sounds like it's someone's cell phone. It says "you have called 4402383000." I don't know what to do. Is there anyone to report this to? This is my first experience like this and I work for around 10 companies regularly.
Same situation.............. Shopped a location and it was closed. I was asked to provide a photo and narrative..... didn't get a dime. It isn't even about the money as it is the principle of returning an e-mail, or a phone call. I am mortified, never have I ever experienced such a lack of professionalism.

The sadistic side of me says we should as a group accept all their shops, and then not respond to e-mails and phone calls, and see how they like it. However, we are above getting down to their level.
Something tells me this company is about to fold.
