Thanks, Dhunt1.
At first, I created a spreadsheet to keep track of my answers but soon discovered that was not necessary. The system that works for me is:
1. Log in to SQM and keep that window/tab open.
2. Open the STEP page in another window/tab.
3. Go to the next test.
4. Find out which SQM document(s) I need to read by looking at the test. Go to the window/tab in Item 1, access the document(s), and save it/them as a PDF(s). Open the PDF(s).
5. Go through the test questions one by one. Sometimes, there is no need to look up anything because the answer is obvious. If I am unsure, I search the PDF using key words/concepts from the question. If I can't find the answer in the PDF, I search for it in likely areas on the SQM site. If I still can't find the answer (which has not happened yet), I take an educated guess.
6. After I have anwered all the questions in the test, I save it as a PDF. That way, I have a copy of the test with my my answers.
7. Submit the test.
8. Most of the time, I pass on the first try. If I fail, I review my copy and figure out which one(s) I missed. Reload the test, changing only one answer. Save a copy as a PDF. Submit the answers and cross my fingers.
9. Either move on to the next level or wait 24 hours to retake the failed test.
