Uh...have I been deactivated??

I have been shopping for Bestmark for *ages*. Today I go to login, and my username and password don't work. I try using the "Click here to retrieve your account information" link, and it tells me that my email address does not exist. What? I sent an email to tech support but haven't heard back.

Have I been deactivated? I can't imagine why I would be. The last shop I did, I received a lovely email from the editor thanking me for my report. I've never had a report returned for clarification and never had a single deduction.

I am new to the forum - I accepted a bestmark shop this morning no problem and then just a few minutes ago tried to login again and had the same result that you did. Doesn't recognize my login info and doesn't have my email address.

Don't panic, I think the BestMark site crashed.

I logged in to complete a survey, got coffee, and the screen was frozen.

Logged out, then couldn't log back in.

I would send an email to the project manager, just to CYA. That's what I did.
I'm on the phone with a shopper who actually received an e-mail yesterday or the day before that the site was going to be down today for maintenance. Go figure.

BestMark's site is down temporarily for system maintenance and upgrades to improve the performance and capabilities of our website.

You'd think they could choose a better time for "system maintenance and upgrades to improve the performance and capabilities of our website" than the hour before all their shoppers' reports are due.

It should be noted that I could still login fine.

They are too cheap to pay the xtra dollars it would cost to have an IT firm do it overnight instead of during the day. This is bestmark, after all.

Just got an email from tech support that the site was down and is working now.

Thanks guys! I guess I've heard too many deactivation stories, a la "One day I couldn't log in, turns out they deactivated me".
No doubt they won't be able to charge the $2 late fees (or 10%, whichever is greater - eyeroll) to thousands of shoppers today.

As techman noted, that no doubt would have paid the slightly higher fee for an IT team to work overnight.
