EPMS Apartments

I received an email today from a scheduler that got my information from another scheduler. Their assignments are video apartment shops and the scheduler said they would send me the equipment. Anyone do any of these shops and is it worth it?

I prefer video shops. My understanding is EPMS also provides some thorough training. Most of us recommend shoppers opt for working with company who will train them and loan the equipment for their first few shops.

For a while there, I did 2-3 a week like clockwork. Got a nice, regular $500-600/month on the 22nd of every month.

After 100+ shops for them, traditional and video combined, I'm taking a sabbatical from these EPMS shops for a while, for my mental health.

Too many targeted shops, too many snarky emails from (a few of) their editors.

I sincerely cannot describe Berber carpet, the three best/worst qualities of an agent, or an exercise room for at least the next 30 days..... "no mas!"
Yes, these are good ways for experienced shoppers to rack up a lot of shops and get some fundamental video experience. Yes, most of their shops are targeted and have very long reports. And, yes, they pay like clockwork on the 22nd of the month.

Do not expect to negoiate any travel bonuses with this company!!!!

Thanks for the last line. For a couple of months they have posted video shops on the other side of the state. There are enough to justify an overnight or two without a travel bonus. A bonus for EPMS, they were non-targetedsmiling smiley Do they work with traveling shoppers on report deadlines?

Yes they will work with you on report deadlines when you are on the road. Assuming these are video shops, be sure to speak with Robert Asher about delayed deadlines, as you will definately get automated reminders, and you will want him to have your back. I have done a lot of their videos as parts of routes. Robert is a great person to work with. Please tell him that I send my regards.

I have done a few shops for this company. The reports are long and detailed but they pay well and quickly.
Just finished and as I thought, my target who I had an appointment with, said he was busy with a move in and introduced me to another agent who gave me the tour. I wrote it all down, report took 1 1/2 hours, total hours spent 3 hours, I am sure this upstanding company will pay me, as the target was a Manager who doesn't normally do tours, but I did get appointment with him.
i'm tired, these are work, fingers crossed. This was last job for Sept. going in for surgery Thursday, no more work for this kid.

Thanks to all....I'll be out of work till Oct., so hopefully, I'll be able to kill time on the forum. Pretty amazing what they
can do today, having cataract surgery as well as astigmitisam corrected.....should be fine, eye sight will be better than before.

Hand-offs from the target have never been a problem for me. It happens, and is addressed.

Irene, I hope your surgery goes well. I really enjoy reading your posts here. As for EPMS, I agree it can be difficult getting a target, and their reports take awhile to write, but it is a very predictable and ethical company.
I just noticed that EPMS has phone call shops. Pays $5. I'd like to try them. I noticed there are a lot so maybe no one likes them. Any feedback? Do the reports take 3 hours to fill out? ; )
I'm back, seeing great, no pain, no problems, amazing what they can do today, just threw my glasses away.
EPMS accepted my report, but I'm shying away from targets for awhile.

I actually got really ticked and canceled my last shop for EPMS. No more agony for me. They just ask for too much for too little.
I was thinking of taking another shop near where I'll be working tomorrow...called to speak with scheduler about reaching target,
and if I can't reach him/her by tomorrow, I can't do the job. Schedulers response was, "so, don't do the job", couldn't work with
me and really was snarly, actually never had such a negative non helpful response to try and get a job done.

Irene, I've been in your shoes and have gone ahead and requested the shop. If I don't reach the target, I just go home and cancel the shop. I state the exact reason "I was in the area all day, accepted the shop, and was unable to reach the target. I have now left the area"...a scheduler from another company once told me that if I don't reach the target on a particular day, chances are someone else won't either, so there's no harm done in accepting and then cancelling as long as I cancel by the end of the day, so that the new shopper can resume the next day.
I easily could have done that, however, after my conversation with the scheduler, I was turned off. I knew I wouldn't reach
the target from past experience, and to be truthful, didn't want to put my time into it.

Allow me to say, I totally agree with your comments about EPMS. ... Up to recent, like two days ago, I have been dealing with some of the most snooty people, who lack sheer professional character. Two of their schedulers assigned me the exact five shops one day apart. Then, two days later they both removed my five assigned shops 'without' notice. When I emailed both of these schedulers to inquire why either one of them removed my assigned shops from my site they failed to respond. Go figure, it must be EPMS!!!

Does anyone do route shopping for EPMS and how does that work? I'm looking at doing five in another state but some have a target. If I can't reach that target I won't be able to do it so i'm confused about how to do all of them in one day.

I've been with Ellis for almost 8 yrs. and have completed in excess of 300 apt. shops for 5 MSCs. My experiences in attempting route shopping which required a targeted visit(s) were so unsuccessful, I no longer will accept that work. The only exception I'd make would be if the target shop(s) were doubled in fee, I was permitted to ask for the specific individual AND the MSC agreed to readily drop any visits that were problematic without a ding on my record. As you're no doubt aware, sometimes targets are easily reached, but then we must also deal with those requiring numerous attempts. When I'm engaged in completing a route of several hundred mls., there will probably be problems I couldn't possibly anticipate; I don't want to be aggravated by those of which I have knowledge, unless, of course, I'm being compensated for my troubles. For me, it's ALL about the money.
My latest is they deducted 10.00 because I got an appt. with target for Saturday (she only works weekends), however,
I called on a Wed. They claim I needed to call on a Saturday and receive the appt. then. I'm lucky I reached her when I did.....I got paid 30.00 instead of the 40.00 I was promised, come on now, for all the work those reports entail, let's be fair!!
