MOVIE THEATERS

That makes sense. Hopefully Hanover can acquire more clients because they sure need them since assignments with them are scarce.

Hanover Media has been more active lately, however the good assignments go so quickly that they're almost impossible to grab before someone else gets them. Recently they were doing an open check for only 2 showtimes at a theater near me, and the assignment was taken so fast that it was already gone right after an e-mail was sent to me.
They aren't. Not when they contact me.

CRINI (Certified Reports) IS indeed crappy because it is a fact that they drop people for no reason whatsoever. They also drop/fire people for not taking assignments from them when they call you on the phone (which they can do at least 3 times a day including Sundays). They also drop people who can't make it to an assignment due to an emergency such as a car accident. These are FACTS, not opinions. Feel free to read up on them on posts here on certified. Certified is also rated as unsatisfactory by the Better business Bureau itself! Those are the facts about CRINI!

They may be your facts, but they are not mine. I tell them no one the phone at least once a week, and they are never anything but nice, and professional.
I am not getting into the BBB thing, I don't hold a lot of credibility in that organization, but that's me. It is just that you are making these pronouncements as if they are facts for everyone. If you stated it as your experience, I can buy that. But when put out there like this, it just feels more like sour grapes. But that is me. Others here may disagree.

I think that what could be happening is that it depends who you deal with there, or even if a certain person is having a good day or a bad day. We are not saying it is like that for everybody! I am sure it is pretty clear here that we are each stating our own experiences, especially since I think we all realize that there is no way we could know what your own personal experiences are. I thought that was a given.
As is often the case, one person can reflect on the company as a whole. I've had good experience with MSP's because my contact person has been positive and reasonable - another contact person for the same MSP may present an entirely different image.
OH oh......Hanover's site is down right now. I hope they're just working on it and it doesn't mean they went out of business. [www.hanovermis.com]
DO NOT work for Certified Field Associates on Theatre Checks - They'll find a way not to pay you.
Yeah, I agree Cobra. BTW, regarding Hanover. Their site is now just saying they are only down for scheduled maintanance. I think/hope that Hanover will slowly start to take over the major theater chains. I know they are working to do this vigorously. If anyone from Hanover is reading this, my hat is off to you! Keep up the good work and I hope you can slowly take over more theaters from certified. If anyone from Certified is reading this, shame on you!!
I just received an e-mail from Service Sleuth that they are desperately seeking movie theater concession stand shoppers and trailer checks in Alabama and Florida for a few locations. I'm not sure why they e-mailed me since I don't live anywhere near there, but just wanted to share the news.
Anyone hear or work for Checker Patrol? [www.checkerpatrol.com] They supposedly have theater assignments too according to their website. However, I remember signing up with them about a year ago and never heard back from them. A recent phone call I put in to them revealed that yes, they still have me in their database. I guess they just don't do theaters in the NYC area?? Just wanted to throw that out there because I'm sure they do work in some other part of the country. Too bad they don't have more assignments in my area though. Their website is also really bad and their job board hasn't been working since I joined.
Tell Us About Us is also starting to do some movie theaters now. I just received an email from the yahoo group "Mystery Shopping USA" and it was listed that Sassie schedulers are looking for cheap movie shops in certain areas. I think they only pay about $5 per check, but it's something. Nothing in my area, but it's worth checking out. The registration process for Tell Us About Us is painless, but it doesn't seem they actually give you a screen name or password unless something actually becomes available in your area. They simply asked for my address, year of birth, and whether I'm also interested in doing surveys for them before confirming that I'm in their system. But, there's no way to log in to check their job board since no screen name or password was provided by them. Anyone else have similar experience with Tell Us About Us who can share more info, please post by all means. Slowly but surely, Certified is losing their theaters due to their horrible reputation with shoppers and the BBB.
Those Tell Us About Us movie theater shops are for a Canadian, not USA, chain.

FYI: Satisfaction Services just took over a big movie chain formerly shopped by Alcops.com.

JoanHampton what company did you do the movie check for over the Thanksgiving weekend?

"Sneakers we definitely think alike. That's one reason why I like mystery shopping so much. It gives me the chance to acknowledge the ones that deserve recognition for a job well done and report the ones that need an attitude check.

Since all of these posts are under the title of "Movie Theatres", I just got assigned two movie theatres for the weekend after Thanksgiving in SE Georgia. So, my boyfriend and I will make a weekend out of it. I received the award packages from DHL, today. Something about ordering a candy combo at the concession stand and if the clerk asks if you'd like a drink with that ....they win the prize. I love these kind. So, my boyfriend gets to pick the movie we see and that makes him happy. I do the rest. If it weren't for mystery shopping I don't think I'd get to go anywhere. My boyfriend is a dentist and doesn't have much adventure to him. So, that part of life is up to me.

I used to do movie checking all the time. i loved doing it... yes, it does get boring seeing the same trailers time after time but the pay is good and you're free to leave the theatre once you do your assignments..

Could you send me a PM Joan and give me the name of the company you worked for?
I'm in the southeast also and really need some work now.
I'm still waitin for Hanover to give me some work also.
Signed up months ago.. have yet to get anythign that would pay me enough to leave home unfortunately.
Are they any good to work for?
Arch, just so you know, Tell Us About Us just acquired a few US theaters too. They must have because I remember seeing their shops listed recently in the yahoo mystery shopping group and some of them were in the US. I don't think any of them were chains because they only seemed to have 2-3 individual theaters in TOTAL listed for the entire USA. If I remember correctly, they were only paying about $5 reimbursement for refreshments and giving you a free movie with that. So, it wasn't a money making shop. I also saw Satisfaction Services mentioned on the yahoo group forum too, but was disappointed that NONE of those chains are located in my area. All of the movie theaters in my area are either Regal Theaters or AMC Theaters and as far as I know, only one HORRIBLE company that likes to deactivate shoppers for no reason, shops those two chains still. If anyone knows any other companies that shop AMC or Regal, please send me a private message and let me know. Regarding, Alcops, I signed up with them a few months ago but never recieved a confirmation OR any assignments from them at all, not even an e-mail. The same is true for Checker Patrol and TES Media. Hanover seemed to have slowed down a lot too lately, but then again, not many major new movies have been released recently.
