Consumer Impressions-- need help

I got my first assignment from them today, changed the date to the date I was going to be in the area, and tried to print out the "form" that I assume would be the instructions for the shop. It's their fast food shop, lunch time.

1. The assignment does not state the fee. Their FAQ on this subject just says their fees are from $8 to 12 plus reimbursement. Do I get to choose? LOL. I choose the $12 then.

2. I'm asked to "accept or decline" the assignment. There is a drop-down box for this. I chose "accept" but there doesn't seem to be any way to "submit" this and the assignment remains in "pending" status.

3. The "form" I'm trying to print appears to be a zipped document. I download Winzip but when I try to open the file, it wants to know what is the file type of the file I'm trying to unzip. How can I know that until I open the package?

So . . . is it just me, or does everyone get tormented like this, not knowing what they've agreed to, if they've actually agreed to it, or what they will be paid? I took the job because I'll be in the area on other shops and will need to eat anyway but this isn't giving me much to work with. I emailed them these same questions but was wondering if this is typical or if I'm overlooking some link I could click that would lead to all the answers, LOL. It's not till January 8 but I'd like to get this booked and the paperwork printed out now.

1. The fees are $8 to $ 12 because they are different times of the day. If you have a lunch shop, it likely pays $8. The $12 ones are the middle-of-the-night drive-thru shops.

2. Their site is a little hinky and you have to work with it a bit. Sometimes exiting and re-entering you will be able to do something that you could not before you exited. And sometimes the site gets locked up and you need help. By e-mailing for help, you've done the right thing.

You will likely get an answer to your e-mail and some assistance, maybe not on the weekend. It seems like they work only M-F but I can't remember for sure. If your shop is not until January 8, you have plenty of time. My advice is to be patient and give them a chance to answer you and assist.
$8 is fine for a FF shop. I'll put that on my log sheet.

Thanks for your advice! I'll be patient. They seem like a good company, I had some issues when I signed up because they were in the middle of their changeover and I ended up with two accounts and couldn't get either to work. I emailed them and they deleted the second account and everything worked, but this is my first actual assignment so I want to be sure I do it right.

I forgot about this being a weekend. I always get my internal clock messed up when there are holidays or I've been out of town, and I did both this week.

Their website was recently completely redone and it's much better. HOWEVER, the shop fees are now nowhere to be found until you complete the shop and it's scheduled for payment. I have alerted the person who developed the new site, but they have failed to correct the problem. Hopefully they will correct it after the holidays.

As a previous poster replied, the fees are $8-$12. If it's a time of day where humans normally eat, it's $8.

PM me your email and I will send you my "cheat sheet" for gathering all the required details.

I did not know they have a new website. I tried logging into my old bookmark and it would not open. Can someone share the new log-in site. TIA!

Thanks AustinMom. The new site is a big improvement over the old one.

Hey! I often eat in the middle of the night. I've been a night-owl for years. I *love* the afternoon, evening, and late-night shops! I'll have to check them out to see if they have these overnight drive-thru shops in my area.

Thanks for the cheat sheet. I have it in my evernotes, trying to figure out what I need to do to be able to enter directly onto the cheat sheet. I think I got the right app but haven't tested yet.

If they shop this chain in your area, they will have about 30% of the shops middle of the night - like 12AM-2AM, I think, not sure, has been a while since I've done them. They are a breeze - drivethru only and they do not limit how many you can do in a meal period. My son used to do shift work, getting off at 12AM, and I would plan two on the way home, and we would drive through both and grab food to bring home for a 1AM feast. My only annoyance was that they tell you what to order as the entree - do they still do that? I LOVE the burgers, do not care much for the breakfast entrees.
