I happen to like Summit. I've never had any communication issues with any of the schedulers. The one I'm in contact with most of the time, Cindy, is dynamite! One project she carries has her trying to schedule over a hundred shops, yet she still gets back to me with answers to my questions.
I've completed numerous assignments scheduled through Summit; there's been nary a problem.
That made me laugh. I looked up the word "nary" when LisaSTL posted it in a thread. I have since used it many times in Scrabble....lol! Sorry for going off topic.

Never. If all schedulers were like Cindy Hutchinson or Judith Gill from Summit, the world would be a much better place!
Received the following email this morning: $16 Reyail Store visits....
I wonder if the schedulers ever get berated for spelling/grammar errors? This is the subject line!
Yes, great suggestion!

I would never "berate" a scheduler for missing one letter (an adjacent letter on a keyboard, at that) in a posting. Schedulers are people, just like shoppers are people, and they deserve the same grace that we try to give to our shoppers. I have experienced the same thing - bleary eyed, hitting send and then seeing a mistake that I can't take back because it's already gone. It's life. We try to do the right thing and sometimes we fail.

By the same token, it is my policy to not berate shoppers either. I might have to cancel their shop or stop using them, but at my company we aim to do that with civility.

I get copied on everything that is sent out over our bulk emailer and I could not find this instance, so I have to guess that it came directly from a shop posting and not from a recruiting email. There have been times when I have sent back an email to one of the schedulers and told them that it wasn't done in my preferred method of communication. For example, I have a personal pet peeve regarding multiple punctuation marks, but that's just a quirk of mine.

Hopefully any of the 29 people who work at my company would tell you that those communications are handled with professionalism as well.

It is the editors and not the schedulers that I sometimes have problems with. Most of the time there is a threatening tone when an editor sends a report back for clarification; or they reject a report when all they had to do is send it back for clarification. The schedulers that I have worked with are usually great.

Honestly, everybody I have dealt with from Summit Scheduling is great. Brian Yates is an amazing scheduler and I would basically walk through fire to complete shops for him because he knows how to treat people and he keeps the work coming my way.

Becky Gross is an excellent editor, who is very fair with her evaluations. I should know; I was new to audio shops and on my first audio shop, I sent her a 38 minute long recording and she didn't flip out on me and actually treated me well.

Dawn Fink keeps the shop e-mails coming my way and doesn't spam them like a lot of other schedulers do.

Summit Scheduling is an awesome company to receive assignments from; more companies should take a page from them and the way they treat their mystery shoppers with the utmost dignity and respect.

Arguing with fools is like playing chess with a pigeon...
...No matter how good you are, the pigeon will s@^t on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Not scheduling for ANY company.
As far as typos go, I consider myself to be fairly literate, but I know I make errors. It's not that I don't know how to spell. It's just that I started out on an old Royal manual typewriter that had keys that stuck all the time, so I learned to type by pounding the keys all to hell. It's a habit I never broke. Instead, I break keyboards to this day. Even the one I have now is having problems and coming to the end of its useful life, and I don't always catch the glitches.

Just sayin'. We all have our imperfections, whatever the reason.

they used to be very good in communications until recently..not replying back for e-mails for awhile

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
They are one of my very few favourite companies. I have 4. smiling smiley

Anyway, have a great weekend everyone.
I signed up with Summit along time ago and have never done a shop for them because the pay has always been so low. I look forward to working with them as soon as they pay enough that I can afford to work with them.
If you speak with a scheduler, you can explain you need more money because of distance etc.

I saw a shop for $17 and got $52 for it...it CAN happen you know.

I have only done one shop through Summit Scheduling and the scheduler, Lanette, was great to work with, and I have never seen fast turnaround on a shop - the shop was scored and through editing within one hour of my submitting it. Gotta say I am impressed and hope to pick up more shops through Summit in the future.....
