a couple of concerns about Reality Based Group

I did my first shop for them on Jan. 3. The shop log says I was paid on Feb. 20. I was not paid by Paypal. Even if they had mailed a check it would not take 13 days to get here. I emailed two people at the company today to try to find out when I will be paid. It is a small amount.

Also, I applied to do some shop where you have to go to a store and take prices of pictures. I received an email asking me to send a couple of samples of my photos. I've been extremely busy the last couple of days so did not get to it yet. Then I received an email from a J. Lang of their company, asking me again to send the photos, and including a photo of herself. "I have reattached the guidelines, as well as a picture of myself to prove I’m a real person." I find that to be very strange. I had no doubt I was conversing with a person. The photo looks like a stock photo. The person in the photo is making what appears to be a rude hand gesture.

I'm not going to do more work for them until I get paid for the first job I did.

Does anyone know anything more about this company? I did read the threads here.

I've been working with them for years now. The schedulers have always been great and the pay has been on time.

I have never had an issue with shops or payment with Reality Based Group.

I did 32 shops for them in February and have spoken with at least 6 very real people there, and at great length. They want a picture and sample photos and/or video from all shoppers. They are very strict about following client guidelines when it comes to scenarios and photo/video quality.

Over a period of almost 5 yrs., I've completed 19 jobs for this MSC without a hitch. My money always arrives on time and the scheduler, Robin, promptly replies to my queries.
Robin is great!

I have performed 106 shops for RBG. I have been paid on the 20th of every month via pay pal. The schedulers that I work with are from Kern Scheduling Services and are terrific. I personally have not ever worked with or seen an email from a J Lang. Sorry I can't be of more help but I can vouch for RBG being a honest, reliable and upstanding company.
I got paid today. This was the only note:

This shop has been paid via PP 3/6/13.

Thanks
Hector
I had completed over 100 shops with this company, and we did receive a bad experience

with the client. This was a truthful report, and we were deactivated, based on our report.

So as long as your reports are positive, they are ok with you, DO NOT WRITE AN HONEST

BAD EXPERIENCE.
Sorry that you had a bad experience when providing your report. It rather annoys me when the client does not do well for some reason when I am performing a MS assignment because I know it means my report will be much more difficult and take a lot longer. I have found that I need to be very detailed and repeat any NO answers, explaining in great detail what happened instead of what should have happened.

Any client is pleased to get a good report but not pleased to get a bad report. Because a bad report may impact the manager's bonus or a number of other things, the manager will likely question and want more information. A negative report may well impact the individual employee(s) shopped, so it is human nature that a negatively-impacted employee may argue, give excuses, pass the blame. Knowing that, I work to make every report crystal-clear, providing every bit of detail that I have. I try to make it as objective as possible, leaving nothing for argument.

So far, I have never had a negative report refused. I rarely even get questions because I try to be so detailed that there simply isn't anything left to ask.

I've done many reports, both positive and negative, for RBG, and I've been paid for all and never noticed a difference in feedback received.
I had to turn in a whole bunch of negative reports earlier this year. Not problemsabout that. BUT, I had video to back up what I reported.
