GapBuster photo problem

I just checked my email and there is an email from 10:19pm last night from GapBuster, saying that a photo I submitted to them was blurry and if I do not submit a better photo within 12 hours I will not be paid!
I think that is really rude. At 10:19pm I was in bed. In the morning I got up, went to work, and am now checking my email.
It has been more than 12 hours since they sent the email. I emailed them back and said that.
Has anyone else had an experience like this with them?

Gapbuster is in Australia and it can make communication difficult. Just take care of it now and I would include a note about the time issues. They aren't bad to work with and it will probably be fine. It is possible they include the 12 hour deadline so people don't wait days to respond.

Most companies give a deadline for a sense of urgency. But they understand that we have other shops or actual jobs to do and allow you to miss the deadline.

But be cautious with them and their out of business shops. I did two or three cell phone shops were the location had closed. They asked that I go take photos of the business and that I would still get paid. I was never paid. I even inquired about the first missed payment, they said it took longer for it to go through. It has been several months since I've shopped with them.
On a day trip to the other side of the state I had seven heavily bonused cell phone shops and one was closed. There were issues with getting paid, but I did get paid.

At least I'm not the only one that's had issues. It's been so long and it was no more than 5 miles total out of my way, I really don't care enough at this point to try and get that money. But I would never do that again. Just making people aware of the problem they have there. You would think the client would know that they are no longer distributing product to that address.

Pay aside, I don't like them anyways. I always got the same rep when something had to be discussed over the phone and I had the worst time getting around her accent. And their reports can get a little frustrating if you're not in the habit of reading things word for word. I personally do a lot of skim reading, especially for assignments I'm familiar with. It never worked with them. I always had to go back and fix a good chunk of errors before submitting any report.
If Gapbuster doesn't pay for closed locations, then why was I paid?

For me the reports were not difficult. As mystery shoppers we really should be reading reports "word for word." One of the skills we all discuss as necessary is attention to detail.
