Reality Based Group's Restaurant Shops

I'd like to get started doing a few restaurant shops for this company, but after checking the restaurant out (the name of which, by the way, Reality Based Group does not mention), I learned that the menu offerings are likely going to cause me to have an out of pocket expense. RBG is offering $25.00. OK with that if the questionnaire is not extensive and will not take more than two hours altogether to complete. In fact if their website was constructed in the 1980's I wouldn't want to get involved with it either. I've found too many sites are just too dificult to navigate which means extra time spent which has nothing to do with reporting and everything to do with figuring out a poorly designed site. Feedback would be appreciated.

If you are referring to the steak place where you may shop by yourself, $25 is more than enough for many menu items, including tax and a tip. I like the food and find the shop (preparing, visiting and reporting) to be easy.
RBG is on Sassie so there shouldn't be any surprises there.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
If this is the country restaurant, there are shops that require you to sit at the bar or in the bar area, and those pay $25. The dining room shops require two diners and two entrees and reimburse $35. The dining shops do not require a beverage other than water and it is easy to stay within $35. I usually take two people with me, we order water, and I am usually close to $35 (tip usually throws me over, I'm a big tipper if I get good service). I don't do the shops sitting in the bar. Those may cost you more than the reimbursement if you order two drinks and food, depending on what entrees you order. The report is not bad. I usually do the report in about half an hour.
As Lisa stated, the MSC uses Sassie which isn't difficult to navigate.
Once again, I agree with Mom and her mentioned report timing.
Finally, Buzz is correct as to expenses.

There isn't any reason I can imagine not to apply for this assignment, unless you don't enjoy country festivities, with the noise that accompanies that style of music. The food is delicious and the scheduler is first rate.
I find the "sit at the bar" shops to be not able to do for 2 people for 25.00 and the 35.00 at the table is restrictive too. I don't mind when they bonus them....but I'm shopping to make money, not lose it.
Wish they bonused here.....the shop fly off the board, although some areas in my state seem to go begging....but they're too far from me.

Yup.

The dinner at the bar can be done alone, which makes it easy as pie to stay under reimbursement. In fact, I did one Saturday night, although I purposely went over reimbursement to get a 16oz KC strip and loaded mashed potatoes. Mmmm mm. (The leftover steak was excellent the next day with homemade hollandaise, too.) Anyway, I've found that I can order the smaller KC strip and two regular sides, and stay within reimbursement.
The dining room shops require at least 2 although you can take more. The bar dinner shops, the $25 ones, do not require two.
I dissagree
for the 35.00
they have a great 9.99 sirlion steak with a baked potato and a great house salad.
if you get the rib eye then its more expensive
but they have at least 75% of there menu at 9.99 or under
I would do these everyday if I could
the report is a piece of cake also
I have done a number of restaurant shops for them. The big steak shops are reimbursement only but I manage to stay within reimbursement. It helps that I don't drink alcoholic beverages. At the end of a long day this is a great way to unwind. They pay in a decent amount of time as well, which also helps. They also offer a shop for a dessert shop that is often located at malls. I enjoy it but after my last experience....this is NO SHOP for a diabetic like me. Eating just one of those items sent my sugars soaring. I think I will stick with their Steak Shops and leave the sweets for someone else to evaluate.

I love shopping for Reality Based Group. They have good shops, are willing to answer questions and have always been fair with me. The restaurant you are talking about is just good ole home cooking and most of the entrees are under $10.00. It's no big deal to me if I have to pay $5 or $6 out of pocket. I still got a fun shop and we had a nice meal. We go out to eat 2 or 3 times a week so it works fine for us.
I had to chime in (with my first post here, no less). I did this shop a while ago with the dining and with all the requirements just came in at the reimbursement mark (almost on the dime!) but had to stick to the lowest priced items on the menu. TrendSource is easy to work with though, as others mentioned.
I love this company! I do mystery shopping because my husband and I like to eat out once a week and being reimbursed is very helpful. I have made the decision to eat at a few places even though my meal allowance was a bit short but if it is a place I like, I am glad to pay the difference. In other words, if the allowance is $30.00 and we spend $35.00, we still net a night out for $5.00. If I am not willing to do that, then I do not take the shop.
I did this shop last night. I love eating and doing shops for this company they are really fair with there fee and reports. I just wish I could do more shops for them in my area. love to work for RBG
