Kudos for Mystery Guest/Grassroots

I had a problem with one of their clients where an employee of the restaurant I shopped evidently took the liberty of deducting a lot more than I approved for their tip. I did not discover it for several months. I contacted Grassroots and they immediately researched it and are making restitution to me. I have always found them to be nice people and now am even more impressed with them. And I like their jobs too.

I haven't had too much interaction with them, but when I had the flu I was able to reach someone on the phone right away. And, they rescheduled me for the night of my choosing.
Occasionally, I will email them about something and then get not one but 2 or 3 emails where they ask about what I JUST told them. Like they don't even read their incoming emails.
I like them and they recently acquired a yummy chicken FF restaurant.

hmmmmm. ....All they ever have had here are the causal restaurant gift card reimbursed shops.
Yummy chicken resturant is a brand new client winking smiley only available in certain areas. Love LOVE their dining shops. Super great schedulers to talk to and fast paying company.
Does this company only use IE? Tried signing up using Firefox and kept getting an error page
I generally use Firefox for everything so I must use it for their reports. Don't know about signing up though. For the gift card question. They did have several other clients in my area in past years which were not gc clients. I got a paycheck. It is possible they prefer it and try to talk clients into it. I actually like their shops as most other sit down restaurant shops I do not get any "fee" at all but with the gc concept I at least have the option of having some leftover $$ after deducting my dinner check. I asked them recently about additional clients. The economy is hurting their business was the basic answer but they are constantly looking for new clients as are all the other companies. So the chicken place must be a new client. I have not seen it either.
Last night I ate in a place that was a former client of another of my ms companies. Not sure if they are still shopped but I have not seen a shop in 2013 yet for this restaurant. The service last night, at least for my dinner there, fell from excellent during mystery shops to a possible rating of 3 or 4 out of 10. Unfortunately it was not a mystery shop. I not only paid for my dinner but could not report on the poor service. Just filled out an online survey the restaurant sent me. They only asked one question. I rated that one highly, not realizing that would be the only question and then the survey was over and there was no way to go back. So now I know how restaurants go about giving themselves higher ratings on their site. Ask only one question. Most people would not contact them and ask for a longer survey with other questions.
Just curious - did you consider making a dispute with your CC company? This is, assuming you used a CC, and still have the receipt showing the desired tip amount.
