Bidding on Travel Costs with Coyle

I just noticed many of the current hotel shops on the Coyle site include this sentence, "Please bid for this assignment by indicating amount of travel $ needed." I don't remember seeing that before.

Its been that way for a while. They just changed the wording recently.

In the past, I think experience always trumped travel costs since I would get assignments even when I requested the max allowance. I hope it stays that way...

I noticed I am recently getting more of the local hotel shops when I am bidding low and will be driving. I have a hotel down the street from where I live and said I did not need any travel and was assigned that hotel in a couple of days.

Seems like only a matter of time when we'll see this in an e-mail.
"We are offering $50 to complete the following shop" However since we know some of you will work for a mere bag of shells we are opening this shop up for bid. Lowest bid wins!
