Grocery Shops Available

Did anyone see that Nationwide has grocery shops. They looks like the same ones that Market Force used to have, difference being you will get PAID $15 rather than have to buy $15 worth of groceries to keep. It is an integrity shop involving the bottom of the cart though, so there is a little more work involved, but we can get paid for the work instead of in food. I haven't seen the form to know if it's longer or not.

Some may like the money better, some may like the food.

A critical in my mind with those is if you have required purchases and/or minimum purchase amount. Certainly $15 in fees is a taxable $15. $15 in reimbursement is a non-taxable $15. While "required purchases" can be used as an "unreimbursed business expense" to offset the taxable $15, you have to read the directions closely to see how much expenditure you can reasonably expect to shield from taxes.
Everyone needs groceries and gas and that is why I like those shops that require the purchase...........get stuff I would spend my hard earned dollar on and no taxes........plus you deduct mileage, etc. Give me a good reimbursements shop for anything I would normally be paying out of my own pocket any day!!

I, too, like these shops where I am buying something I would have to get anyway. The ones I dislike are the ones that make my buy something I would never get or spend "a minimal amt." Here a minimal amount is always at least a buck fifty and they don't even reimburse that high.

Definitely agreed. Most every month about half of the value of my shopping is from reimbursements, most of which are worthwhile. And yes, we do eat out more because it is reimbursed than we probably would without reimbursement, but that still works for me. Tomorrow I am doing a job with a high reimbursement of a useless-to-me item because the fee is good. I find myself hoping the cannot/will not do what I am to ask them to do because it will save me from the expenditure at all while still getting paid.
I only do the trendsource grocery shops.....reimburse $9 plus $5 fee.....sometimes, get bonus of $10-$15 though. These shops are the grocery stores I always shop at so no problem w/buying what I want. I always spend $50-$100 unless I have 3 or more scheduled in a week period. I just see it as a coupon on my groceries. I always deduct the entire $14 on taxes as the instructions say MINIMUM of $9 and require 3 items PLUS large BOB item.......hard to do that for $9 so claim $14..........
