market force fast food shop

I brought my two kids with me (9 and 7) to do a "enjoy that classic taste" shop this morning because of circumstances out of my control. It is my first shop for market force and I thought that was one of the rules I read about but couldn't find it this morning. Anyhow, they went in and sat down and kept to themselves perfectly, however should I not even submit this job and just reschedule it? I don't know which would have a greater negative impact. I was submitting the info when I came to that question and thought I'd ask around.

I don't know which shop that is. Most food shops I have done have not stated children aren't allowed. Do your guidelines mention it? I have brought mine to shops and it been fine. Honestly, unless it specifically asks if I brought them, I don't include them in the report as they aren't doing the shopping. I say submit the report.

This particular shop discusses possible legal action if you bring anyone with,,,if you run into someone you know you cannot sit with them and if you do you need to reschedule etc and so forth.

It's in the screening questions before you can accept the shop. You can not bring anyone under any circumstances.
Ouch... that's a different ball game. I have not seen any like that. I take back what I said! They obviously take it seriously so reschedule!
Reschedule. The instructions specifically say you cannot bring anyone with you, not even to wait in the car or be in the car for drive thru. This client is known for pulling security camera footage if anything about their shop doesn't jive. If the security cam shows you have kids with you, you are putting yourself in danger of loss of shop for client, termination from MSC, or up to legal action.
I hope they wouldn't resort to legal action; however, I agree if it is stated in the screening questions or guidelines then I would explain to the MSC what happened and reschedule. No need to take a chance that they will deactivate you if you like working for them.

They state that if you have to bring children with you, due to emergency, then cancel your shop.

They don't want anyone sitting with you in the dining room, out in the car, ect.

I thought I remembered hearing that about the security footage and that this client was very serious about the shops. thank you all for the input, glad I ended up here.
I think it's dirty pool to have rules in the screening questions that aren't reiterated in the shop instructions. Who remembers the screening questions?

Well I understand but if I ran into someone I knew while doing part 2 (dine in) of the shop I certainly wouldn't cancel at that point and reschedule.
It is clear in the guideline and screening question that you have to dine alone.

I shopped their training store and the employees messed up my DT order. The cashier messed up by keying in there were two people for the order of the meal (I never knew until then that the receipt is coded for the # of people in the vehicle), but the food presenter handed me a drink, slammed the window and walked away. When she showed up again, thinking it was the next car, I asked for my food. She and another employee started arguing about it and asked to see my receipt. Sigh! You can imagine how my report turned out. I spent an hour on Valentine's Day, to explain my movement second by second because they tried to put the blame on me. Anyway, I gave them my car description, exact time I was at the DT and told them to pull the video. They did and realized that I did not have another person, cat, dog or ghost, in the car with me. It's a training FF store, you'd think they can figure out it's the employees that had issues, not an experienced shopper!

I remember that you must complete this FF shop alone. Rescheduling is your best bet. smiling smiley

I have to wonder, what if I happen to run into someone I know? Do I pretend not to know them? I'd hate to make the trek to the restaurant and have to cancel like you said. I'd rather ignore them and then do damage control after the shop.

I know you can't eat with them but you could probably greet them. Then pretend to be on a cell phone call as a reason not to talk to them.

I can promise you they will and "do" look at the video for any questionable action.

I remember one time I was eating and this little girl plopped herself at my table, to play a video game that was attached to the table. Then her sister, crawls up on my table and both of them fight over the video. Then gramma comes along and says, "You don't mind if they sit at your table, do you?"

I am thinking 'OH SURE go ahead! There are only 4 cameras pointed at me and if anything in this shop gets blown, they will look at the camera footage and tell me I brought my twins!' ugh...smiling smiley
They are clear, dine alone. Cancel or reschedule if you can't meet that. They are usually pretty flexible on that manner. I haven't had any issues on scheduling in 6 years. Rescheduled a long distance trip many years ago for inclement weather (not worth snowing).
