I just received a check in the mail from B.BUSINESS SOULUTIONS INC. stating to DEPOSIT it into my bank and then send a specific amount to another shopper. Has anyone else received this? Is it a scam?

It's a scam. Do NOT deposit the check!

This is a SCAM! A lot of times the scammers use real company names to try to convince you it is real. Do not cash or deposit that check!
Oldest scam on the internet actually.

Take the check to either your bank or the local post office - they try to track down the scammers. When it happened to me, I just shredded it. Now I wish I had known to give it to someone.
I just received a check for about $2000 supposedly to be a mystery shopper for Walmart. I know its a scam and I plan to take my evidence to the FBI local office if they are interested. I have copies of two emails they sent me, the check, and a text message on my phone. Maybe they can track down these scammers.
My scammer came through with the check. I had an ad for my photo business on CL, and a scammer wanted to send me a check plus extra money that I was to send to her wedding planner via Western Union. I played dumb, hoping to get her to send a check and she didn't disappoint.

I took it to the local police department and they said there was nothing they could do about it, unless I deposited the check, and then they will come after me. My local FBI office is 150 miles away, so I'm going to visit the Postmaster on Monday and see if mail fraud might be an option.

I just received an email from her threatening to send the FBI after me. I called the bank the check was drawn on and confirmed that it is fake. The bank's Loss Prevention officer asked that I return the check. She was extremely happy when I told her that I had the emails with headers printed out and the tracking number from the Post Office.

My new advice, forget the police and the feds. It took me 3 minutes to look up the bank and call them...and the bank is concerned about this. Get all the info you can and send it to the bank.

Thanks for the update James Bond. I found the RCMP unable to help as well although they kept the check and letter.
