Serious Heartburn - A Bit Long.

This is for those of you who do the cheap Kmart shops. Yes, I am one of you. Why? It has given me the chance to do something about my local store. It had a reputation for being the worst store of any kind in my area. After 6 months of visits and reports, I have seen changes that make it one of the better ones in my area. I hope my input has had some effect to achieve this.

This months instructions require observations from a wheelchair/scooter perspective. No problem! I went to my local Kmart, jumped in their scooter and did the shop. It was accepted - No problem.

My problem began when I signed up as a backup shopper, for a Kmart shop, out of my normal area, left over from last month. It had a bonus and I did not expect to get it.
Well I did. I reviewed the instructions for last month and did the shop. Submitted it ontime. Next day, I get a email from an editor stating my shop was not accepted due to the fact it was not done from a wheelchair/scooter perspective.

ARGHHHHH! I jumped on the chat line and found she was out to lunch. Explained my problem and referenced my last months visit number and instructions and this months visit number and instructions. No one has accepted this months visit at that location as of yet. Plus, this dropped my Auditor rating. I was then required to send a detailed email on what happened. I did. Finally heard back from this "Editor", not admitting a mistake, just asking additional questions. I responded answering all questions and asking that my rating be restored. I received no response. Later, I received an automated email that my shop had been accepted with a "5" rating. Checked their site and everything was OK except for my Auditor rating. Further emails have not been responded to.

This just burns my backside.............

I understand your frustration. I would encourage you not to stress about it too much because in the greater scheme of things it really doesn't matter much.

I used to do a plasma donation shop for them that paid well (I only did it when it was 2X fee or higher) but normally took 4-5 hours to complete. There came a day when after 5 hours I still had not even been called to begin the process and there were a number of people I could identify as having arrived before me who were still in the waiting room. Best estimate was that I would be there another 4-5 hours and I had livestock to tend, so I left. I got my rating dinged on that shop and the next times they were begging to have it done my 'minimum fee' was 3X and I still got the jobs. Now I have aged out of eligibility but they still call me to do them because either they don't read their requirements or they can't figure out my age. I don't do them any more.
I agree Flash. I feel better after posting this situation. Everyone knows which company. Thats my payback...winking smiley

Flash--you don't have any more plasma at your age? So sorry. Would you like a transfusion from one of young folks?
Yup. I have always been a blood donor and in college did regular plasma donations as well, so when I saw it as a shop it was not an outrage that many shoppers find it to be. The commercial outfit/location that is shopped is, however an outrage in staff attitude towards donors, who are paid for plasma. It was an appropriate 'shop' in that customer service was so wretched. Over the time I was doing them there was some improvement in customer service, though not enough that a normal middle class person would be willing to go there.
