RSG - Scheduling Time Lapse?

I applied for three shops with Research Services Group for the same project as soon as they were posted last night to be completed between the 10th (yesterday) and the 13th. One was accepted this morning, one late afternoon, and the other one is still pending. Hoping to do them in the same route, I'm finding it frustrating knowing that I need to do at least two of them, but not wanting to do them tomorrow if the other one comes through. I haven't had this trouble before with RSG - usually I am accepted or denied immediately and it is a couple days before the project can start. Is it normal for the scheduler to schedule these at various times like this for the same project?

Those shops were originally posted last week so these are probably leftovers. I've had success with sending an e-mail immediately after applying for a group. I simply let them know that my intention is a route and if they cannot assign them all then it won't be worth it for me to just take one or two.

I offered to do several shops in my (Friday) route last week, but was told extensions would not be granted (past Thursday). I checked on that day, to find I could not schedule them and went about my route. Wouldn't you know when I got home late Friday afternoon, the date was extended and the job is still posted, a week later.

Thanks - I find a lot of times that I wait to schedule all the shops for a route until I get the ones I can't self-assign. And then if I wait for that, the other shops are gone - or I'll end up with one shop when I requested four or five in the same area. I'll contact the scheduler next time. I didn't see the project listed before and every shop was available when I went to apply. I'm still trying to figure out the best system.
If I waited for shops to be assigned my routes would never come together. If you have a good track record with a company, be proactive. Even if you have not worked with a company the worst they can ever say is no.

LisaSTL I took that approach of emailing a scheduler of a company I'd never worked for, asking for all the shops in a certain area, and now I have a nice route lined up today. I've done this before, and some do reply, and some I never hear from, but I figured, it was worth a shot, hey? smiling smiley
