En Masse Schedulers

I find myself getting requests from schedulers attempting to fill jobs in MANY other states. As a former editor and account exec. for an MS Company, in my opinion, this is just 'laziness' on the part of the scheduler. I continually get requests - even at the beginning of the month - from schedulers for states in the mid-west (I'm on the west coast). It's annoying - to me.

I do know in SASSIE, the scheduler has certain logistical parameters such as ZIP codes and area codes. Yes, I understand that a shopper MAY be travelling to another location, however, it's the shopper's request to go outside of their 'regular area', not the scheduler.

For me, it's like the old adage - 'throw the spaghetti on the wall and see what sticks'...or something like that!

I pray it does not occur that the last thing I did before I died was vacuum the house or eat broccoli.
Opt out of emails and check the board for jobs.

I just saw a shop in Puerto Rico on a job search within 90 miles of my zip code. What I've noticed when things that are outside my search range show up in the search results is that the zip code field is blank.

Here is what I do.

I move all of the out-of-my-area emails (not including airport shops) to a separate folder and save them. If I find too many of these emails wasting my time, I intend to review those saved emails to take some kind of action against the worst offender(s).

The good news is I haven't reached that threshold, so I haven't taken any action. Actions might be a polite email to the scheduler/ MSC to request restricting emails about shops to my area to deactivating or filtering out all emails from a scheduler or MSC.

Good luck.
