How about kudos for great schedulers?

I know I have been rough on some schedulers in the past, so, I feel I am also obligated to give an acknowledgement of great work to a scheduler from Bestmark. She called me last night. Even though I turned down everything she offered me, she still took the time to explain new things on the website, and listened when I explained the pitfalls of one of their current programs, and said she would discuss this concern with her supervisor as she didn't know why people were refusing this assignment. It is a program that lots of shoppers are now flaking out on because it is impossible to get all the information needed because of the store associates . And wouldn't you know it, I didn't write down her name!

So to the Bestmark scheduler from Minnesota- You did an excellent job, and I may be more likely to take on one of the other dreaded assignments because of our discussion.

I got a call from one for MF and she was fantastic. She had a great sense of humour and gave me more money because she wanted to. I kinda like that, eh? winking smiley
Great schedulers:
Jeff Rose at Bare International
Robin Myers at Realty Group
Tim Qua at Bare International

These guys are absolutely the best. When was the last time you applied and got a shop in 5 minutes? Try these for a refreshing change of pace.

Would it not be nice to not have the hassles that this profession seems to engender.

I agree with Sue Lloyd about Jeff Rose. He's one of my favorites.

Today a scheduler at Maritz helped me recover a shop I messed up (did a combo scenario instead of the ODP it was supposed to be). And they didn't tell me I was an idiot when I shopped the wrong bank last time when there were 2 at the same corner (one in a grocery store, the other free-standing) and let me book the 14 shops I did over these two days.

It's nice to be forgiven and helped when a mistake is made instead of being deactivated as if the mistake was a deliberate attempt at sabotage.

So Maritz schedulers get my two thumbs up this week.

Maritz gets such a bad rap for being outdated, their aversion to email, this new cutback in their employees' hours, etc. but I have to say that I still like working for them. I don't do much with them other than the blue bank shops - but in May alone I made $416 with them. Their schedulers are really nice and while I do wish they would drag themselves into the age of technology, for $400+ per month, I can deal. smiling smiley
Robin at Reality Based Group is always great. She's so polite, professional, and helpful.
I am also lucky to have worked with many great schedulers. I will pull a rabbit out of my hat, re-route my schedule, and nearly move heaven and earth to help those that help me and treat me as if I am part of their team and we are working together to meet a goal.
Vanessa Dickerson at Ellis Property Management has always been great to work with.

Sometimes I wish there were more than 6 Blue Banks within my 40 mile radius. I really only shop 5 of them too since the 6th is in a town with absolutely flipping nothing in it. I've done it twice. Once when a grocery store was heavily bonused, and once when the Blue Bank was heavily bonused. I have to give up most of a Saturday and try and align the grocery store, the blue bank and the warehouse store to make it worth the drive out to the sticks. I hate giving up my Saturdays!
Just a couple of hours ago I had a bittersweet conversation with JoAnn Martin at Corporate Research. She is among the best of the best and it will be sad to see her go along with all of the other helpful folks there. She truly "gets it" about life in the field and the problems we experience.

NSS - Matt, Alex and the gang (all great).
Mercantile - Amanda
Ellis - they have all been helpful and easy with scheduling.

Too many to remember, many more.

I like Deandra at Marketforce. I think Theresa is another one...I like when I see their phone numbers in my caller ID.
Joel F. at Shoppers View! He has extended due dates, given me 10/10 on phone shops and great information to improve my shops.

I love BestMark, I don't get to work for them as often as I would like but I check their board every day just in case.

Oh no!!! I had forgotten about the Corp Research people being canned. I, too, really appreciated JoAnn Martin. While I never spoke with her on the phone, she was always quickly responsive, helpful, informative, and kind in her emails when I needed clarification or help of some kind. It's terrible that she (and the others) are being replaced like that. sad smiley

Practitioner of the Nerdly Arts.
I just had a really positive experience with a few schedulers at Corporate Research I don't know if I should give their names but they really went out of their way to help me and I appreciate it far more than they could know. It is very refreshing not to be treated as if you are developmentally delayed because you are a shopper. Being a shopper is not for the faint hearted that's for sure, you have to be quick, mentally and be able to formulate a legible report. Some people seem to think that we are just here because we don't have anything better to do which for most is not the case.

Francine Bryan from Quality Scheduling has always been nice to work with. She seems to represent several different MSC's.

Here is a new scheduler to work with. Dawn Hunt at Primo Solutions. Rate this one a AAA. She has many telephone shops that pay well and Primo pays on time. They are usually long term care phone calls. Another Goodie is Jodi Van Lom at Bare.

I agree with Jeff Rose at Bare International - I had some issues with a shop and he was great to deal with.

I have run across this, too - people thinking less of me for being a shopper. Seriously, it does take some functional brain cells to pull off playing a role and presenting a scenario, all the while remembering key details and then having some command of the English language to complete an acceptable report, especially one with heavy narrative involved.

I completely agree with Cherry Stowe at Pinnacle, she has been a delight to deal with as has Pinnacle in general. I only wish that there was not so long of a rotation on their credit union shops but it is what it is....looking forward to more shops with them this coming summer!
I agree about Joel F from Shopper's View! Answered an email I sent very quickly (within half an hour), very helpful when clarifying phone shops.
I read this forum on a daily basis but I'm never confident enough to join in, but in this case I'll man up because Bestmark definitely deserve my thanks. Especially Gabe Boers and Dawn from the Exit Interview team. They are always so quick to respond and will work to reschedule when I'm in a real bind. I've had a great experience with their schedulers and editors. Love these guys
