I would be very leery of only "direct deposit" especially with the minimal information given. I'm gun shy but I think its a way to get your account numbers but that's just me being a nervous nelly with stuff like that.

Oh - and I"ve never heard of them.

They have an A+ rating with the BBB and there is a thread on Volition. A quick glance looked like the reviews were positive.

I have been hankering to get one of their regular jobs. I have heard nothing but good about them and check their site every week or so to see if someone in my area has given up their "territory"

So what if they don't do paypal. There are several companies that do direct deposit only.

There's not much anyone can do with your bank account number. Everyone you ever wrote a check to got that information on the bottom of the check.

I tried working for them, but I must have some type of color blindness because I could not read the codes off the bottles when I was in the store. They have a list of about 25 products you need to purchase each month and you have to send it to a test lab. They supply the boxes and the prepaid shipping labels. They ship via UPS, so you can drop the boxes off at Staples are any other UPS pick up place. They made a deposit into my account before my first job so I would have money to buy the products with. I only did it once, but I found them to very professional and above board. From the stuff I read on the Volitron board, the first time you did the packing it was time consuming, but with practice it gets easier and quicker.

I've been doing work for SPP for about 6 years now. They are completely legitimate!! They pay direct deposit. You buy soda at different locations, either 2 liter or cans or bottles, and you must buy what is on your list for that month. You can have, say, 4 selections of Coke in the 12 oz cans. You must buy them at different locations, and the DATE has to be DIFFERENT for each 12-pack of 12 oz cans. Usually there are between 12 & 18 items to get, including any that may be the same, as I just said. And as the above poster noted, sometimes it can be REAL TRICKY to read the date, especially on the bottles. I try to make sure I can read it in the store, so I know I won't have a problem when I get home. Then you have to go home and enter information in the computer, print out labels that SPP ships to you, and pack the product in boxes that SPP ships to you. The neat thing is that if you have to get a 12-pack of cans or a 6 or 8 pk of plastic bottles, you send one back and get to keep the rest! PLUS, you are reimbursed for the cost of the product (and they send you an advance before your shop so you have something to use up without it being out of pocket). I keep all the diet products and give the non-diet stuff to the neighborhood kids...I've been doing that for years now.

Now it DOES take a couple of cycles to get used to all this, but I've been doing this for so many years now that I average about $14/hr now. They're really a VERY FAIR company to deal with, as you are reimbursed for your gas mileage at the IRS rate of I think 0.56/mile this year, and if you go over their recommended 30 miles per shop, and can print out a mapquest route of what you drove, you'll get paid for all the miles. I do that from time to time. PLUS they reimburse you mileage for going back the next day and dropping the boxes off at the nearest UPS store. You just have to note it on your cost sheet before you send it in. PLUS they reimburse you for your total cost of the soda, so if they advance you $45, and the soda costs $50, they'll reimburse you the other $5.00. And on top of that, they have their method for calculating the pay, depending on several factors, including the number of stores you visit, the number of items you have to buy, etc, etc.

Hope this wasn't too much information, but they ARE legitimate, and it's also nice to have some free soda around the house without having to pay for it!! HTH.

Do they list specific stores or just specify the type of store and/or chain?

They give you a list of cities to shop in. You check off the cities in your area that you might go to, and click on whatever the button says (Select, or something like that) -- Then you are shown a list of stores to choose from, including grocery stores, convenience stores, Walmarts, Targets, etc. Then you get to make your route from the list of stores in your area. HTH

Certainly sounds easy enough and like nice steady work. No wonder it can be hard to get a "territory."

Well, you should still apply. Because in the same "territory", one rep will buy all Coke products, another will buy all Pepsi products and yet another will buy Dr. Pepper products. So the same territory usually has 3 reps...........so it won't hurt to apply!

I've had my "territory" for five years and I get a shopping list every month. They pay in advance to make the purchase and then about a week after shipment, they pay the fee and mileage. The surveys are once or twice a year.

Traveliz...Orlando was available, but it's a year round project and you're between two states.

Yes although my daughter might have been interested so I still keep an eye out. I think the one here in my area of IL would be easiest for me to schedule around.

Liz, It could be tricky, because they depend on the "pickup" people to also do the surveys. The pick ups are easy and you get a week to 10 days to shop. But the survey can be requested anytime and they are NOT easy! They pay well, just not easy.

If they have no openings you can't apply.

I have been with them for 2-3 years. Love them! They have been patient with me when I first had a few bumps in the road. They respond quickly to emails and calls. You do get a few days warning on the surveys so you will know they are coming.

eveb - Why would that stop you? It looks like they only assign you the stores in your immediate area anyway. If I could sign up I would in a heartbeat.

There are none in my immediate area, within 25 miles, but some in the next largest city, +45miles.
Id be willing to consider it if I got 30+mpg, but at 10mpg....... uh no.
Even adding stuff, which would be hit or miss, to make a route doesn't pay.

I drive a 1998 with 288,000+ miles on it that gets about 18-19 mpg. But Superior PAYS you mileage to the IRS rate of .56/mi, so if I drive, say, 44 miles on my route, plus another 14 round trip the next day to drop my boxes off at a UPS drop off/store, that's 58 miles total. At .56/mi, I'm reimbursed a little bit over $32.00, so it's worth it.

They DO like you to keep your route down to 30 miles round trip if possible. But if that's not possible, you can talk it over with one of the folks at Superior, and they will tell you how to send in proof of your miles so you can get paid. MOST of the time, even when I can keep my "route" to 30 miles round trip, I STILL have to add on the UPS mileage, so I still end up with about 44 miles. So my reimbursement for my gas is around $24.00. So to me, it's worth it.

I meant you don't know which part of the year they do the surveys. They are not consistently done in January, or March, or...Yes, Bob calls and tells you about the surveys and it will..eventually show up. They are more organized now, but now so much 6-7 years ago, when we used to write all the labels by hand!
