Anyone done work for Technology Store Shopper?

I just did a shop for them and I am a little confused!

The guidelines asked for a phone call followed by a visit to a retailer. I made the phone call and the phone rang and rang. I then made the visit and could not find the location. I took a photo of the current business at the address and left.

I filled out the form as best I could, emailed the sceduler and emailed through the online email customer service and asked if there was anything else they needed, or if they had more information to help me find the location. I have not heard anything back. When I looked online at their Sassie platform it says payment pending?

Well, I am not sure if I will get paid or not. The whole thing seems a little flukish.

I do believe I had an out of business one for them and they said no phone answered no pay. So we are doing the screening process for them for free.
I've done a couple of cell phone shops for them. I was under the impression that if the phone was not answered, they did not want you to go to the location and there was no pay for the closed store. I'm not sure, though, my shops were open locations. If it says payment pending, though, it sounds like the shop was accepted.
I've done a few shops for them and had no problems. They pay quickly and scheduler answers emails too.
I haven't heard from the scheduler... I figured they may not accept the shop as I could not complete. But no one has said anything to me, scheduler, editor, etc.
Tangential: I got payment in less than two weeks for a shop I did for them. And I think it would have been faster had I sent the receipt in to them immediately.

Ditto - very very fast pay.
I've done several shops for them and I have three more on my board right now. They usually reimburse in less than ten days and pay non-purchase shops within two weeks. And the scheduler almost always answers emails within a day or two. They're not the best paying shops but they do pay faster than most. And like a lot of companies, they pay bonuses for shops done at the end of the month.
I like TSS. My first shop for them was a purchase and ship back shop (basically purchase and return, except you ship it back to them, rather than return to the store). They sent my payment/reimbursement within 1-2 weeks. Now it's time to send back the product to them. If I have to buy a box (I.e. The items won't fit in the free box), they'll reimburse me and they're even offering a bonus for prompt returns (post-marked before a certain date). I was already obligated to send the items back to them, so the bonus to send back quicker is a nice, unexpected extra.

Another shop I did for them required an exterior store front photo that I couldn't get. I told the scheduler and asked if I could re-shop on another day in order to get the required picture. The scheduler ended up waiving the photo requirement and told me to submit the shop without it. Saved me from having to re-do the shop so I DEFINITLEY appreciated it.

They don't have a lot in my area, but I'll shop for them as often as I can.
I was paid very quickly for a shop I did for them in September. I noticed the ship back to them shop, but am hesitant because no details were provided on what the shop entails. Was there a detailed report involved or was it mostly the shipping back to them that was important. IOW, was it a regular retail shop? Any feedback on this type of shop would be appreciated. TIA.

Judi - The shop that I did may be different than the one you're referring to - I've seen other postings that seem slightly different than the one I did.

The one that I did was a normal shop, for the most part. The report was pretty easy and only required one narrative regarding the customer service/interaction in the store. You aren't evaluating the shipping back at all, as you're not shipping/returning to the client, you're shipping it back to TSS.
Thanks a bunch!

Where are you? If you identify your locaton, it would be easier to get an answer. It would be very time consuming to answer your question by posting a list of states where a company does business.
Why?

I have completed 2 shops for them and have another one scheduled for tomorrow. I can see that they are in many states and Canada. My suggestion is to sign with them and then you can see if they have anything near you.
I recently did a shop. The store wasn't what I would consider "high tech." Best shop ever!!!! Relatively high pay and fair report. Got paid quickly. My new favorite company. Why am I sharing this info?
I've done about 6 of the same type of shop. Quick pay. I notice their board stays empty for quite a long time then boom! Several jobs, then they get filled quickly. Great company - fast pay.
Hello,
I did a lot of work for this company last year and earlier this year and had good luck with them paying me on time and not having too difficult of evaluations. I do remember that I received a notice that they had either changed their name or went out of business at some point in the past 6 months or so I think. I have not had any more shop offers from them since probably February so I assumed that they were out of business.

I haven't done much for them but I do recall one instance where the store had not moved in the shopping center where it was supposed to be located. I e-mailed the scheduler and was told I would be paid $10 for reporting that info.
I did one shop over the summer. Wish they had more in my area, because it was an easy shop, and they paid pretty quickly as well.
I just accepted my first shop with this company. I am trying to add them as a new company to my Excel spreadsheet. I have searched all over their web site and I can not find an address for them or any contact names. (I like to know where my companies are located so I know what time zone they are in.) There is an 877#. I called and left a message but no reply so far.

I also would like to know what form of payment they use...PayPal, Direct Deposit, Check, Other. Thanks In Advance.

A Google search pulled up their Facebook link, and has St Petersburg FL in the blurb.

I haven't done any work for them so the emails I've received only have 'scheduler@'

Their payment blurb: "We pay every other Friday for shops completed during the two weeks prior. For example, a check would be mailed to you on Friday, March 23rd for any shops completed during the two-week period from Saturday, March 3rd through Friday, March 16th. Checks would be mailed Friday, April 6th for any shops completed between Saturday, March 17th through Friday, March 30th.".
But in my shopper profile I have the option of PayPal.
I had to look back to 2012. I was paid on November 14 for a shop completed on October 26 by PayPal.

Thanks eveb and LisaSTL. I will try to call them again tomorrow. After printing out the guidelines, page 4 of 6 is missing. It might be a computer glitch in the form or maybe I am actually missing some important information. Thanks again.

Just email the scheduler. She is great at replying quickly!
They are on my top 5 list of companies to work for!
Update- There was one shop I did where a phone company's rep did not show up. Two days later, i did another shop in a different store. the one where the rep flaked still shows pending- and I was paid for the other one. Not fair! it was really out of my way and I waited 2 hours for the rep to show- plus I had to make a purchase to prove I was there.
Be careful of ones where a rep may flake- waste of time. shame on them for not paying me anything.
