Seriously one of my favorite companies even though I've only done one shop for them. If their clients just had locations near me. :/

Performed one shop, and awaiting feedback and payment. Website is quite different than most other MSCs and takes some getting used to, but I am not expecting any major difficulties.
As I just posted on another thread, my experiences with Shared Insight have been only positive. Thanks!
IMTrashman- You won't receive any feedback about your shop. If we do have an issue with your report, we will call or e-mail you. So if you haven't heard from us, assume your report is fine. Your payment should show up in the next week or two, depending on when you completed your job.

PizzaPizza- I'm glad we have been able to live up to your standards. How long have you been shopping with us? Also we have a contest for this month that you may want to consider looking at, check it out on our Facebook.

Is there a schedule you use for when you post new jobs? I tend to show up and find that the only shop is 5000 miles away.

Is this the only way to see or enter the contest is through FB? FB does tend to be not a favorite of some, such as me. If there is no other way then I will just continue doing your shops. smiling smileysmiling smiley
Shopsuey- If you go into "My Defined Areas" on the left side of your home screen, you can individually type in zip codes you want to shop. Also, on the home screen you may want to de-select airports as that may be why you are getting shops so far away.

I just registered with your company but when I went into my profile to change my password, I keep getting an error that says:

- Telephone

I have entered my phone number as xxx-xxx-xxxx (except with numbers instead of x's). What am I doing wrong?

CAscotch- There are no immediate plans to change the site, however we are still growing and because of that the filter will actually come in handy. As per your request to be able to search by state or distance, we have tried that before and it wasn't as successful as what we have now, but we are always open to changing things so who knows what will happen in the future.

How does the scoring-points system works? I have done a few shops but still have the same score.

newyorkdan1- You can click on your score and below you will see how you can get points and lose them as well. I have also included this list here so that everyone else can see as well. If you think that your score is not correct e-mail support@sharedinsight.com and we will be glad to look into it for you.

When you complete a job +10
If you complete a job on the original date specified
(if you change your initial date you will not be awarded these bonus points) +2
When you complete a survey +1
If we need to amend one of your reports -1 for every 10 words amended
If you file your report more than 24 hours after completing a visit -2 immediately and then a further -2 for every additional 24 hours
If we have to contact you in respect of a question in your report -1 for every question
If you release a job -2
If we are forced to release a job from your account -2
If we have to arrange to revisit the premises as a result of an error on your report -10
If we are unable to contact you following the receipt of your report -1 for every 3 messages we leave for you

Last time I spoke to someone at Shared Insight in May, she said that were working on getting the scoring system put in place. My score is at still at 40 after doing another shop. I like working for the company.
There isn't much in my area except one restaurant. It's usually taken or I can't schedule a dining partner to coincide with the dates. I wish you had more in my area.
Before I apply to Shared Insight...are there shops in the Tampa Bay area of Florida? I hate going through all the steps to register and then find out that my state is not covered by the company.
Most MSCs don't just cover specific states. Just because they do not have a client in your area right now does not mean they won't next week or next month. If you are not registered with them you may not know when that happens. Consider the minimal amount of time it takes to sign up with most companies an investment in your business. MSing takes little in the way of a financial investment, but some sweat equity is necessary. I was registered with SI for a couple of years before seeing any jobs with them. This year some great audits started showing up.

It will actually take less time to go through the steps and register with a company than to post your location on the forum with a company name, asking if that company has shops in that area, and then continuing to check back to see if someone might have posted a definite yes or no.

The best plan is to set aside some time and sign up with companies. Some will have shops in your area and some will not. You can immediately start working with those who have shops. Your registration with the others is an investment in the future. Some investments pay off and others do not.

Yeah, I know, but I hate having my SSN and PI out there with a company that I will never deal with. And then logging in to see if there are assignments available, etc. Thank you for your insight though.

Besides, reading the posts on the forum are so much fun!
Instead of checking websites just make sure you are set to get emails from those that don't appear to have anything near you for now. Many will also allow you to defer entering a SSN until your first shop. I use that option if it is available.

Any plans to add clients for Indiana?

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
lbw1000-Unfortunately I can not state if we have shops specifically in you state or city, part of the process is signing up with us as a mystery shopper in order to find that information out.

nslowry-A valid social security number is required to be a member of our company. Reason being is if you make over a certain amount completing mystery shops, we are required to report your earnings to the IRS.

I see a few shops in Southern California and the selections look great. I have questions about the dates that show available. I got a few emails about shops with due dates of Oct14. I went right away to your site and all the dates for remaining shops were limited to Oct6. There is no way to filter or ask for dates other than what pops up. How far out do you post jobs? I have no way of knowing if the selection for Oct14 was taken or if it's not showing up.

mleighb- We had an odd job release for the month of September and October but typically we release shops at the start of the month. I'm glad this is helpful for you : )

I'm concerned as to why I no longer see any restaurant jobs in my list of available shops. I used to do them, now no more. I'm a long time experienced reviewer.
