Gapbuster rejected my shop but won't tell me why

I did their new fast food client on Sunday. I noticed on Tuesday when I was looking at my assignments that it had been rejected/cancelled. I emailed them right away asking why. No one replied. So yesterday, Wednesday, I emailed again, this time to all the contact emails I have for them. It is now Thursday and no reply. Communication is very quick when they are looking to schedule. I have three jobs lined up with them for another of their fast food clients. I don't know if I should do them. If they can't tell me why they rejected my shop I don't know if I should. But then again, maybe sometimes with a job you have to "suck it up".

My suspicion is the new fast food client, that used to be with Marketforce, only wants very positive reviews. I put in an accurate report, which included that the order was inaccurate. But the right thing for Gapbuster to do would be to pay me for my work and have get another mystery shop done until they get a glowing report.
Anyone else have a problem like this with them?

I had the same thing happen with a bonused, out of town assignment earlier this year. I sent email after email and never received an answer.

This is probably not the right answer but I would not do anymore shops for them if I did not know why a shop was rejected because you could very likely end up making the same mistakes on the other shops.

I always make it a practice never to take more than one shop with a new company to start with so I can learn a bit about them before I invest too much of my time/money.

What did you decide to do? Do you still work for them?
I still work for them, yes. After several emails, I began asking the schedulers who called. I was told that a different department was handling that shop and that the message had been passed along to another manager, who would be calling me. The call never came.

That shop wasn't one of their regular monthly ones, and I haven't seen one on the boards since. I won't do one again of that type and if it is posted again and they call me to take it - I will decline until I have an answer.

In spite of their poor communication, I still like working for them because the shops I regularly take are easy, and are always offered to me at a much higher than posted fee.

I did one of those shop. The location badly fail on both dine in and drive thru. Over 12 minutes to get a burger!!! My report was accepted.

Interesting. I've never seen anything on their board other than cell phones and an Asian restaurant. I must be missing something. (and yes I check all of their regions sometimes)

You might not be missing anything - they have clients specific to Canada so if you are in the U.S., you won't see them.

Ah, that makes some sense. Didn't realize you were all in Canadia.

I had Gapbuster reject one shop because I didn't spend enough money. Their reimbursement was $45, so I figured that meant that I had to spend $45 including tip. My total was $48. I got an email saying that I was supposed to spend $45 on FOOD and tip was not included. Yet, the instruction only said, "Please spend at least $45" (nothing about food or tip not included in the $45). So, I was supposed to spend $10 of my own money for the tip to do this shop? Ever since then, I ignore their calls when I hear their overseas accent.
