ath

Does anyone know anything about ath's payment? I'vedone some bank platform shops for them and my only contact has been the schedulers at Kern. I did a couple in April and got paid in May. I have not gotten paid for my 5 May shops - I went on the website and it shows payment 6/17 - but as of 7/2 I haven't received the check. I can't find anything in their FAQs that talks about payment contacts or - actually, nothing about payment. I don't know whether to contact the scheduler at Kern or what? They've been my only ath contact so far. Any suggestions?

They generally take around 45 days. I have some May shops that show they were paid 6/17 though I have yet to receive the check. The rest of my May shops still show as open and not yet paid. Although I did some jobs for them in June I want to see some payments before doing anything more. I'm going to give them another week for that check to get here before I start screaming. My initial contact will be from the shop log itself on the "Help/Contact" link. And of course if they email or phone me to do more work I will explain I can't 'afford' to do more until their payments are more current.
OK, then I won't worry & I'll wait a week. I was concerned that my payment for 5 shops was marked 6/17 but 15 days later I hadn't received the check. And I did another 5 in June and have 5 scheduled for July.......I could see myself getting a bigger and bigger unpaid balance ....... maybe the check's in the mail......
Trust me, I am not comfortable with the delay. Generally the checks arrive about a week after the pay date shown on the shop log. In 2008 the pay date was generally about a month after the report date with pay dates religiously on the 15th and end of the month. With the economy where it is, I note that pay has gone down for jobs, pay dates are now more erratic (the 3rd, the 16th, the 17th) and with checks not in hand in a week to 10 days, the indicators are there for a troubled company. They owe me about $50 from May and about $30 from June. I don't plan to extend them further credit until some stuff gets paid. While it is nice to have work, it is not nice to work for free. I did that with a company last year and the loss was truly irritating.
Yes, there is a delay. I don't trust Ath in general, so I am sure to "track" my payments from them. I checked my log and it said I was paid on 6/15. I made a note to call them on Monday, and the check came today, 7/3. They are slooow.
I should have waited one more day - - I just got the checks today, dated 6/15, postmarked 7/1. All's well that ends well. :-)
On 7/6 I got the check for payments supposedly 'paid' on 6/17 and today, 7/11 I received the check for shops 'paid' on 7/6 (with a check dated 6/30).

They are clearly holding checks. Mine were dated 6/15 but postmarked 7/1. Don't bother with the "Help/Contact" link in the Shopper Log - - - they don't answer. I guess once you've performed the shop there is no longer any help they are willing to give ..... But was glad to get the money even late. I do a lot of platform bank shops for them and love those shops.
With Ath, you have to contact the scheduler directly via email. I save the emails from them so I have a name. They really don't impress me with their organization skills, and honestly, for some reason I don't trust them.
I do save my e-mail but the scheduler who does most of the ath platform shops I do is a Kern scheduler. I did do a platform shop at a different bank for ath on Friday (the only one Ive done at a different bank) and it was scheduled directly by ath.
I didn't know Ath was using Kern. Interesting. I would think you could contact your Kern scheduler and ask them, or go right to another scheduler at Ath, and ask them for a contact name.

I'll say it again and again... I just don't trust Ath. Something is just not right there.
Well, something has definitely changed at Ath. I received sooo many confusing and contradictory emails regarding their bank shops from Ath and Kern. It looks like they didn't expect the more than intense scrutiny or stringent guidelines and deadlines from their client. I've decided to stay away from those bank shops. As far as getting paid they are slow so it's just another reason to look elsewhere for work.

P.S. Maritz does the same bank shops and they pay slowly too.
Yes, I have no intention of opening an account at their current bank because there are not enough branches in my area, that bank is a PITA, the fees for the work are low and payment slow. So how many strikes do they need?
As with other companies, we have diverse experiences with them. I have one scheduler who is one of the nicest, most accommodating people I have ever met and my pay is always correct and on time, if not early a couple of times. She called me just yesterday asking me to get certain shops done with the most handsome last-minute bonuses I've ever been offered by anyone. You betcha I'm going to make sure to ace those shops and have the reports in their hands by dinner time.

I love the bank platform shops ath has - I'm doing shops on the same bank for Maritz and Informa. I have a checking account there and it's a piece of cake shop - really easy - and easy report form, all yes/no with 2 comment areas - limited to 1200 characters max. I do about 15 a month, 5 for each of the 3 MSPs. There are a lot of the bank's branches here - it's crazy, some are a block from each other! I did a platform bank shop last week for ath on a different bank, a bank I do not have an account with (and probably would not want to open one) - a much harder shop, much more detailed report. And it paid the same. I definitely wouldn't struggle so hard to get as many of those harder shops. But I never see them bonused here, there's too many shoppers, these shops go fast. I do see e-mails, in some of the small towns in West Texas they are bonusing these shops $35 and $40 in addition to the $15! But not here ........

Ath does pay slow. Does Maritz pay slow? Compared to most of the others I shop for, I seem to be getting paid pretty fast from Maritz.
I've shopped more than normal this month with ath, so wonder if their shops aren't as desirable with their delayed payments. Supposedly, checks are cut the month following the shop, then mailed at that month's end. My check for May shops arrived July 6. Their bank shops aren't too bad, but I have no plan to become a customer. Their bank phone shops are too much for too little. I've got a pet pricing shop coming up, bonused, I'll hope not much is on salesmiling smiley
